  A hotel to avoid

  The Teledom in Kosice gets pretty near to being rated as a hotel from hell! The room was large and generally well appointed, but there was no air conditioning and the room was extremely hot and very noisy with the windows open. The rubber mattress was upside down and the view was a derelict building! The bathroom was small and showed its communist era beginnings. The shower was over the bath, but there was a non slip mat in the bath. I believe some rooms had a small walk in shower. Breakfast revealed that some people had air conditioning! That was about all breakfast revealed; the choice was limited and the food poor. Id rate it 4½ out of ten and not to be revisited!

  Friendly welcome and cheap furnishings

  We had a room with two singles which couldn't be pushed together. The furnishings were very cheap although importantly the room and hotel in general seemed very clean. We arrived close to midnight and were greeted by very friendly staff who spoke great English and helpfully pointed us in the direction of somewhere to eat, the staff in the morning were equally helpful. We walked from the train station which proved to be a little far so maybe a taxi would have been better. Overall I found it slightly pricey when comparing it to other hotels we stayed in Slovakia, the furnishings were quite poor and breakfast really bad but nothing to make us regret staying.   good stay!

  The staff were excellent, eager to help and spoke English. Rooms were adequate and had everything that we required. It is situated about a 5 minute to the historical main square and St. Elisabeth Cathedral. Price was good .

  Wonderful Surprise.

  Kosice,in Slovakia,what a wonderful joyous surprise. The overall facilities of this hotel where of high standard and the staff very co-operative.Its location to the old city,a pleasant stroll, which prepares you for what true beauty is the setting and architecture of this special and historical place.The cathedral,very much the centre of the old city and the lay out of parks and restaurants along the longish street either side, a pleasure to walk and enjoy. A visit to this city, you must if your itinerary includes Slovakia.

  Perfect Location and Great Value

  Fantastic location only a short walk from the main historical centre and local amenities, conveniently sort bus journey from the Kosice International Airport. Pleasant, efficient 24hour reception. Very spacious and clean rooms with walk in shower and separate bath. Room could have used a couple of extra plug outlets. But very good value for money considering how spacious and clean the rooms were. Would highly recommend for any short stay, value trip to Kosice.
