  Nuestra estancia en este hotel fue genial. Fue un viaje familiar, las habitaciones amplias y cómodas, y muy limpias. A dos minutos de la parada del metro para llegar a Londres centro. A destacar la amabilidad de los empleados, sobre todo Vicente que nos atendió y aconsejó en todo. Un 10 para este chico! volvemos en unos dias a londres con los niños y sin duda repetimos.

  Afternoon Tea

  Lovely afternoon tea. Excellent value for money. Plenty of sandwiches, scones and other sweet treats. The man that looked after us was very friendly and efficient. Great ambience as always at The Barn

  Birthday dinner for 22 people

  In Ruislip for an 80th birthday afternoon tea and decided to stay, once again, at The Barn, wedding venue for niece and nephews marriage in 2001. Rooms very comfortable and welcome extremely friendly. With 22 of us staying overnight or living locally we decided to pre book dinner and it must be said that the service, admirably overseen by the excellent maître d' was superb, the food was great value and the ambience was top notch. The staff coped admirably with our wide range of dining needs, left us feeling relaxed and happy in spite of a near 400 mile drive to get there earlier in the day.

  Avoid this place!

  Stay elsewhere if you can. Cannot think of anything positive to say. Did not have my booking when I arrived, despite the fact I booked two days earlier. Shabby decor and room. Shower completely pathetic, couldn't get wet. For nearly £90 a night, a scandal.

  Great location, but standards have slipped!

  We have stayed at the Barn many times over the years, but sadly the hotel is looking tardy and need of refurbishment. Parking was fine and check-in was straightforward, we opted for a Directors room located in the Deanes Lodge Annex, which offers much larger and better-appointed rooms and bathrooms. When we entered the lodge, the front doors were open with a couple loittering and smoking, which filled the entrance with the smell of smoke, which lingered, not a great first impression. Our room was fine, in fact we have stayed in this room on a previous occasion. There is a large king-sized four poster style bed, wardrobes, fridge, desk and tea/coffee making facilities, although the TV seems very small for the size of the room, also BBC One and ITV were not accessible, but hey ho the TV in the bathroom worked fine and showed all channels! The room has electric Velox sky-light windows and blinds, which were fine, along with a small window overlooking the back of the hotel. The bathroom had double sinks, a large jacuzzi bath and walk-in shower, with an enormous opaque glazed wall and window, which offered plenty of light. The literature says that there should have been bathrobes and slippers available in the room, there werent, so I mentioned this to the receptionist, who said she would arrange to have them provided, but told me the next day they were unavailable due to a laundry problem. The standard of housekeeping fell short of our expectations, especially during this period where COVID hygiene is so important. There were stains and marks in both the room and bathroom to the extent that we spent some time wiping down all of the touch points with sterile wipes, this wasnt us being over sensitive, but the room really wasnt deep cleaned. Especially compared to other hotel stays that we have recently experienced where the COVID cleanliness of the rooms was very reassuring! However, this remains our hotel of choice when we stay in the Ruislip area, but its a shame because it could be so much better! We pre-booked a lounge table in the bar to meet family and enjoy a drink or two, before heading out for dinner, the staff were prompt and the maître d, or bar manager was very accommodating and pleasant, in fact the bar service has improved with table service only!
