    Beware the Burgers

Booked a meal for three. On entering the restaurant no meet and greet. Service throughout the evening slow, but pleasant. I had the bacon cheese burger, which honestly was the worst burger I have ever eaten. Very heavy on the garlic which was not mentioned on the menu. I will not be returning.

    Mediocre

Booked for Dinner with friends on a Tuesday evening. Have been several times before and the pub is always cold/chilly and needs the fires to be lit. Menu is limited but the food was good. I had a really tasty cheese and mushroom omelette. The homemade bread rolls are tasty and a nice touch. Not much atmosphere and the staff were efficient but not overly welcoming or friendly - it feels a bit like a production line - next plesse!

An unplanned stop for Sunday Lunch worked well.

We were driving around Sussex and came across the quaint village of Linfield. We parked and went for a walk, in doing so we passed this quaint little pub. It was 12:30 so we went in and asked if they had a table for two. They were fully booked but happened to have a table free for just over one hour, we took it, ordered quickly and then this exquisite Sunday Lunch arrived. It was lovely to look at, it had a fresh smell and the taste of everything was scrumptious. The best hour ever and at a really fair price. Very impressive Waitress and the Chef is a wonder. We will pass by again.

Basic but good value in a great location

Stay here whenever in the area. The rooms are basic but clean. The staff are friendly and the breakfast is simple but good. Bar prices are higher than I'd expect but that may a sign of the times. Pretty good Covid compliance. Parking easy and pleasant beer garden

    Basic accommodation excellent pub food

We booked the Bent Arms so we could visit family in the area and we have 2 small dogs, which they are happy to welcome. On arrival there is really good free parking. On entry the staff were really friendly and attentive. The pub area is something to behold, very old and kept very much in keeping. The accommodation is very basic, it was clean, huge amount of Bed linin, a good amount of towels, more than ample shampoo and conditioner provided. The TV had lost its remote and never materialised. However its a nice TV, great size and lovely picture quality. The rooms are a great size, beds reasonably comfy. The bathroom is very dated, but again clean. The shower runs with practically no power, it's not more than a dribble, hot when you left it run for a bit. I'd have liked a blind on the window as the bathroom over looks the beer garden, and feels very exposed, even with a net curtain. The down side of this accommodation is the smokers, theyre right outside the door, and under the windows and it stinks of fag smoke, and as non smokers that's not nice at all. Plus the door that leads out of the pub to the smoking area /beer garden is directly under the sitting room area, and every time people go in and out it slams, which vibrates the whole floor, and is so loud, it really is very irritating. If it hadn't been for the 10pm curfew due to covid I don't think we'd have stayed the 3 nights we were booked for as we'd have had no sleep until the pub had emptied every night. The breakfasts are good, staff are attentive and couldn't do enough for us. We were really impressed with the service throughout our stay and we ate in the restaurant 2 evenings. Excellent value for money and food was fabulous. If the door didn't slam everytime someone left and entered the pub via beer garden and smoking area, which was every couple of minites, we'd stay again, but after the covid restrictions are lifted the noise would be way worse, so wouldnt stay again unfortunately. However we would certainly use the pub again, or was great.
