  Not very good

  It was supposed to be a four star hotel when I paid through priceline. But it was really not even a 3 star. They had basic amenities. And they had a restaurant/bar on site. But very few people stayed there.

  Terrible

  We booked via hotels.com and paid 75 usd per night, but when we arrived, we found that this is very small room with "private bathroom" near shared kitchen (not in our room). Then when we asked about upgrade, hotel manager said, that this room's price 49 usd. They called to Expedia, because hotels.com made a reservation with expedia.com. So, expedia and hotels.come took an extra charge 36 usd per day. I will never book with hotels.com and expedia.com Room is terrible and very small.

  Great Value and so clean!

  Stayed here with my husband for a few days at the end of our trip in Jamaica. Received a very warm welcome from Jenny at the front desk who also steered us in the right direction for restaurants, tours, and taxis. The room was spotless, comfy, and welcoming. Loved having a little kitchenette to keep our drinks cold and make breakfast in before we went out for the day. A wonderful spot just across the street from the beach and near coffee shops, restaurants, and tourist spots. Also loved the tropical gardens in front of the villas. We will be back!

  Not for the bougie!

  Let me start by saying that I fulljoy my stay in Negril! It's natural beauty is healing & peaceful. The Golden Sunset is a locally owned property which does not offer many of the accommodations which most tourists expect when visiting Jamaica. You will not find luxury, you will not find leagues of smiling attendants, you will not have an iron in your room nor will you have a coffee brewer... there's no conventional closet & the dressers are quite old. There's no soap dish, the faucets are quirky & the decor is nonexistent. What you will find is a very sweet & pleasant manager, Jenieve, a culturally rustic villa, a clean room & an opportunity to do as so many Jamaicans do... which is mek do! The property is full of natural life - plants, flowers, a friendly lizard in my room...& you're literally a 2 minute walk from 7 mile beach. I made do & I did it with gratitude. I did not visit Negril to surround myself with tourists. I am in love with JA & mi appricilove all ting she shine pon mi! I'm happy to support local & I will be back

  home away from home

  the location is amazing! Clean clean clean! I was so impressed by how clean and quaint the rooms are. I cannot think of one complaint! Everyone is so kind and willing to help you in any way they can. The beds are comfy, pillows were great...it was so nice having a kitchen to use for breakfast and quick lunches. Close to the beach (right across the street). Great places to eat close by. I cannot wait to return next year!
