  Great property- badly maintained :(

  It is unfortunate to see a great property with such an amazing character run in such a way. The bathroom fittings are run down- either you have an option to have bath in ice cold water or super hot. Problem wasn't addressed despite complaining on the first day of check in. The other problem was the restaurant was short-staffed and took ages to serve even basic things for breakfast. Sad to write anything about this property just coz multiple small things were totally out of acceptable standards.

  An Epidureans Delight

  As a family it is our earnest effort looking for heritage properties which offer grandeur and comfort. The Himalayan is centrally located b/w the old and the new Manali market with accessibility to most of the known spots in town at walkable distance. We discovered the cornices and corbels in the premises with great attention to detailing to the services as well. Trekking prescribed around was an icing on the cake along Hampta Pass. You are in for some great views to treasure here - When in Manali; it is recommended to plan your stay at Himalayan - Your tryst with nature.

  Splendid location, wonderful property!

  It was the first time since the pandemic that I ventured out. After extensive research, of all the resorts in Himachal, I found The Himalayan to be most appealing. Booked a 10 night stay in one of the Classic Chambers in the castle and could not have chosen better. My chamber on the 2nd floor was luxurious with plenty of character which is visible throughout the hotel. The resort in itself is in top nick, I read somewhere that they thought the property to be lacking in maintenance, personally I could not find anything to fault. There was plenty of warm water and soaking in the bath was a delight after long hikes in and around. The staff is very knowledgeable, you should especially ask for the GM, Mr. Vivek Thakur who was very patient in answering all my queries regarding the various day trek options. The food was lip smacking, their continental especially stood out. Meals were delivered promptly and hot. Sitting on the pool terrace, the garden was obviously coming to life and a treat to see all the myriad colours of spring, while listening to some exceptionally curated music. I will recommend The Himalayan without any hesitation. All the best to the entire team!

  A dream trip at the Himalayan- a destination in itself!

  This is the most magnificent experience one can have while staying in the town of manali. This is my second time at this Gothic styled castle hotel. It is perched up on a hill surrounded by an orchard and pine trees with the most picturesque views overlooking the town of manali. With old world charm, hard wood floors, stone structures and even a hedge maze on the property, our lovely cottage room overlooked the snow capped mountains. What made the location idyllic other than its views and hospitality was that we could walk to old manali and enjoy all the riverside cafes and restaurants. That was a big boon in itself!! The owner Nishat was so lovely to chat with and helped plan our time on both my trips. We wanted to do something off the beaten track and he guided us to one of the most spectacular hikes that was walkable from the property. The trail was through pine forests with views of the snow capped mountains throughout. I couldnt believe my eyes. We eventually reached a village surrounded by cherry blossoms and apple orchards. The adventure of the trail kept increasingly and soon we were walking a once shepherds trail with views that leave you spell bound. Im so happy with my time at the himalayan and will only choose to stay here!!

  Vintage vacation treat!

  If youre an antique lover with a keen eye for detail than there is no better property than this one! The stoney construction, the wooden interiors, the fireplace, the library, the pub, the rooms and the bath makes this place look like a Classic vintage castle.. the way it has been constructed, it reflects upon the creativity of the owner and trust me, once you meet him and get know all about his idea and the planning, hell make you fall in love with the hotel! We stayed in a single storey cottage that comes with a fireplace, fully equipped kitchen, bedroom and a balcony overlooking the snow clad mountains! The no buffet but all inclusive breakfast was a great idea.. since whatever we wanted to eat was freshly prepared! Last but not the least, the staff made our stay extremely comfortable and I would highly recommend this hotel for a unique luxury experience!
