    Fantastic

    Everyone on the staff was wonderful and very welcoming. My wife and I were especially thankful to have met Koji and Grace who gave us excellent dinner recommendations and were so nice to us. The hotel is lovely as well. It's well off the beaten path so you can unwind and relax and appreciate breathtaking views.

    Terrific!

    The Ritz-Carlton Okinawa exceeded even our high expectations on so many levels. The location, amidst a golf course, atop a hill, overlooking the East China Sea, is beautiful. The hotel itself is a stunning building, with paths and reflecting pools interspersed. The orientation and construction are very well-planned, and there seem to be convenient elevators everywhere, so there is never a wait. Our corner room had gorgeous views, unique and lovely furnishings. The materials used were luxurious- rich woods, unique panelling, frosted glass. Everywhere in the hotel, including our room, there were art pieces of ceramic and glass. There was incredible attention to detail, from memory-foam slippers to Ritz flip-flops, for strolls on the beach. Breakfast was among the best ever had, and there was a real effort to emphasize Okinawa dishes using local ingredients. There were fresh greens and vegetables we had never encountered before, all artfully presented with numerous accompaniments. The chef makes fresh tofu each morning, and it was served warm with toppings and sauces. The stir-fried tofu and vegetables was excellent, as were numerous egg dishes and many Western selections. Beauty, spaciousness, luxury and comfort were enhanced by the truly personal service. House cars took us to the beach and a local restaurant, and even provided a cell phone for us to summon the return pick-up. Numerous staff members called us by name, and Grace An, the Food and Beverage Manager was particularly attentive. The Ritz-Carlton Okinawa is extraordinary.

    Beyond expectations

    Outstanding facilities and beautiful atmosphere are what is already expected of all Ritz - what sets this hotel apart is the professionalism of the staff. The personal attention we have been provided from arrival to departure is what made our 4-day stay truly relaxing and memorable. Will definitely come back for our next visit to Okinawa.

    Not the Ritz experience you got used to...

    We came to the Ritz Carlton Okinawa excited as last month we spent a wonderful weekend in the Kyoto RC still remembering of all the fine touches that establishment provided, truly fine luxury, great service, gourmet food, attention to details. However as soon we entered to the Okinawa version of the group, we quickly came to realize this is a very different space... the staff except a few of them spoke no English (at the bar / at the breakfast), the breakfast had only japanese options was poor and simple, nothing compared to other Ritzs fabulous brunches. The beach access was closed due to corona however every single beach on the island was open. We checked, believe me. At the check in there was no welcome drink, no special treatment during our stay however being Gold members both of us. No welcome surprise in the room - something we got used to everywhere else. One of our worst experience was however first night when the concierge (not) recommended us a horrible touristic place asking the restaurant itself to pick us up with their minivan instead of providing the hotels car. Anyhow, as a productive input I think this hotel needs a change of management, staff trainings, probably send over from other locations in Tokyo or Kyoto some experienced staff to oversee the consistency of the service. Its a pity because when you stick to a group, a brand then you expect similar level of quality, attention and care in everything and everywhere. This one was just mediocre.

    The Ritz Carlton Okinawa

    Recently our group of 12 friends from Singapore were in Okinawa for golf and sightseeing and stayed 3 nights at the Ritz Carlton Its a beautifully designed luxuriously appointed hotel with comfortable clean rooms Breakfast and the teppanyaki restaurant were very good But what truly impressed us was their level of service Okinawa is well known for their beef and we wanted to bring some back to Singapore We enquired with the concierge and front office staff The staff and also the chief procurement officer went out of their way to procure the meat and had it properly packed and stored the day before our early morning flight The hotel even sent someone to the airport which was an hour drive one way to get the approval stamp from customs for the meat since our flight was early the next day and the customs office will be closed at that time We really appreciate and commend the staff involved for this outstanding level of service Thank you very much Ms Koh Pooh Lii and the entire group
