    Tranquilo, hermoso

    Un Westin con los plus de esta cadena pero además de la impresionante vista (toma nota que no es para quien va a la ciudad o de trabajo, es un hotel de descanso lejos del centro) un excelente almuerzo bufete, un buen bar con excelente música en vivo para la noche y el personal que se pasa de amable.

    Worst Marriot

    1) There was no recognition for Marriott Gold when I checked in at the lobby where other Marriott usually greets you and welcomes you.I arrived there around 12:10PM and I was told I need to comeback at 3 for check in. 2) She did not even tell me how to get the the elevator also didnt tell me check out time. 3) Panorama Lounge, you need to tell them everything twice maybe because they were busy so continuously forgets and I did not hear apology. I asked staff if I could directly get to the Okim's from lobby or get out of the building and access thru the beach, and this guy did not know so he said let me ask someone. So he went into the office and 1-2 min later he got out but he was walking towards to me but passed by me like he never saw me before! I have to go grab him and ask him again for simple question. This clearly shows he was lack of his own property knowledge and unprofessional. 4) Of course my room was facing the Parkview where my view was actually white old roof of attached building. I do not complain about it even though as a Gold you get upgrade when its only available. So I am assuming there were nothing available. I didnt even ask for it. 5) However, room condition was not as clean as it could have been. There were different color of hairs (blonde and Brown) in the bathroom and on the bedding. Also, there were some cricking noise continuously from the wall. It bothered me alot but I decided not to even call the lobby. Because I was already disappointed so badly and onlything in my mind was get the heck our of there. My room was #640 6) I've visited there buffet few times and those were fine but it was first time staying there and absolutely I won't visit again. Fairfield Busan which is near Westin Chosun is 10 times better in every aspects, staff kindness, cleanness, overall atmosphere. 7) This was among the worst Marriott Hotel I've ever experienced.

    Complete failure to live up to Westin standards

    The Westin Chosun is on the beginning of Haeundae beach, a quiet section with nothing close by but still not far away from anything. The concierge opens my taxi door and he actually takes my bag and helps hadling it. It is not special, but still I need to mention it, because in Korea is happens seldomly. Nice lobby with beach view. In the lobby long waiting line and no dedicated counter for Platinum members. I ask to be transferred to the lounge for checkin. Entering my room -a corner suite room, highest available room type- an unpleasant smell welcomes me. Opening the huge tv, Bonvoy advertising on the default first channel. Nothing personal or personalized. Poor first impression, lightyears away from international Westin standard. Being a former SPG hotel, this place was expected to perform so much better than it sadly does! The hotel must be old, the room is far from being modern, no outstanding design elements to be found. At least the room overall condition was still not bad. There is a minibar with Westin like heavily priced items, but at least there is not just an empty ref, like in most other places. The TV has some English channels, also CNN. Nice to have some choices, unlike in many other places here. The bathroom too, is not outstanding in size or design, but at least there is a bathtub. Then again, no toothbrush or toothpaste is provided. You actually have to buy them at heavy prices. Bit disappointing. No bathroom scale to be found! The shampoo and body lotion of no brand, unlike in other Westin hotels abroad, where these items are signature items of the Westin brand, specifically created for the hotel brand, here nothing special. I recall, when I stayed in Westin in Shanghai, I liked the fragrance and quality of that body lotion provided there so muc, that I have returned many times just for that small bottle. Details can go a long way, they make the difference! Dear GM, if you would care about your guests, I could notice it in those small details, here nothing, total lack of it! Absolutely nothing to make the hotel outstanding, nothing to thrill your guests, nothing to deliver a memorabe stay. The hotel is only as good as its GM is. You personally do not go out of your way to impress your guests. Either you have never stayed abroad and are not able to see how things could be done better, or you just don't care about guests, just as much as you don't care about details. Let me tell you how an ex-SPG hotel, a Westin hotel, should be: The valued guest checks in at a dedicated counter. The GSM (= Guest Service Manager), shows up, introduces himself, hands over his business card with kind words, please call me if you need anything, etc. The guest goes to his room already with a smile on his face! The hotel just pocketed its first victory and just by showing some attention! The guest enters his room, in my case the room 533.. If not already in the hotel lobby and inside the elevator (actually part of the corporate identity is also the fragrance, it is simply a MUST) at least now, upon entering the room, he notices a pleasant, unique and relaxing fragrance. Individually created for the Westin hotel brand. He feels instanteniously "arrived at home" (do you know what I mean, Mr. GM?) On the TV screen he reads in big letters "Welcome Mr Peter ..., we wish you a wonderful stay". He, as a Platinum Member, looks around and finds, probably on the bed, a basket with some fruits and sweets, a welcome present with a personal card attached, his name written on it, showing appreciation! No Mr. GM, I do not have to choose that welcome basket instead of 1000 points, it is there, for Platinum members it is always there. A MUST. I don't have to buy it from you! It is your sign of appreciation for me as a Platinum member. Remember where you come from, you are not a cheapcharlie Marriott hotel, you were an SPG hotel and I will not accept any degradation to Marriott standards. The breakfast poor too. I do understnd, covid19 forces you to stop offering buffet. But ONLY ONE choice of preset Western menue and one set of Korean menu? Not even a la carte to order something??? In the Club Lounge the same poor picture. One set of dish, you like it or not, who cares? A wide choice of beverages? Not here. A handful maye. Not impressive at all. A choice of juices? Not here. Fresh juice, just made for me? Of course not, probably never heard of, right? All in all, despite a great locatiion, this hotel has failed to impress, total lack of attention to details that make a hotel a truly great and outstanding place! It is not the personnel's lack of kindlyness, everybody is friendly. But sorry, i am in an interational hotel of an outsanding brand And still, nobody strives to provide memorable days. In fact, no care at all. That happens if the General Manager does not have the right feeling for his job, the right service attitude and doesn't put personal pride into it, doesn't have the will to exceed expectations. 2 stars because failed to live up to the expectations created by the Westin Hotel Brand

    The best hotel of Busan

    The best hotel in Busan. My family, 2 adults with 2 kids, we use to travel internationally at least once 2 mths prior to the COVID-19 crisis. But with everything changed due to the COVID-19, we are traveling domestically. We visited Busan 3 times in last 2mths and Westin Busan has been the family friendly, best hotel ever. We are the Titanium platinum of Marriott (use to be embassador last year) and we have plenty of experience of the best hotels around the world. Even with our high standards and expectations of the service of the staffs, Westin has fulfilled our expectations and we always had a satisfying stay in Busan. This hotel is located at the corner of the Haewoondae beach right next to Dongbaek island perfect for the great view of the East sea and Gwang-an bridge. Also Bay 101 with nice restaurants with great view is within 5min walk. I would like to highlight the great service of the staffs, which is always makes us feel at home. With our tier, we have access to the club lounge where you can have the best view of Busan which reminds me of Amalfi of Italy. From check in, you are welcomed by the smiles of the friendly staffs who always have the guests interest as their highest priority. They are very considerate in every way which is very important for families like us with young kids. We have always been satisfied with our stay. I have sent my Guest comments feedback for 3 wonderful staffs who has made our stay comfortable during this trip. I totally feel that they deserve the acknowledgement. The room condition is always nice and clean with Heavenly beddings are always so comfortable. The buffet restaurants are closed due to the Social distancing and the breakfast is served in separate bento. You can choose one of the 2 menus for breakfast - Korean and Western. We always choose both and share. The meal is very high class and I personally like the Korean menu with nice soup and side dishes. I am planning to come back to Westin Busan within 2 mths and will definitely come back to Westin.

    Wonderful Time in Busan

    I am a Lifetime Titanium member stayed at Marriott and Starwood hotels well over 1,000 nights. I had a wonderful time with my family at Westin Josun Busan for 4 nights this week for working and vacation. The location of this hotel is the best in Busan it is on the Dongbaekseom island of Haeundae where the hotel guests can enjoy the great view of Haeundae beach and also walking in the island and the beach at any time. The hotel building is somewhat old but the inside is very clean and well maintained its a five star hotel. At the time of arrival, we were welcomed by the front office staff. Sean Kang helped us check in and kindly explained about the hotel facilities and things-to-do during our stay. Executive Lounge (Westin Club) was open for afternoon tea and snack from 11 am to 5 pm and provided happy hour foods from 6 to 8 pm, 7 days a week. We enjoyed visiting the lounge and the delicious foods (which are good for dinner and changed every day) with a glass of champagne. Chloe Kim made us feel like home at the Club Lounge. During our stay, we made more room reservations throughout this year and will definitely come back during this winter.
