  Apartment type rooms

  We booked through Agoda but was unable to send special requests regarding our son who had to finally sleep with us in a queen size bed. They wanted to charge IRD 160k per night for extra bed and breakfast which he did not like. Rooms are not too crowded. apartment type with a small kitchenette with no stove. Hot water is limited to one person's shower so the others need to wait 15min till the water is ready. Extremely loud outside at anytime of the day. We travelled during Ramadan and prayers start at 3am from all directions. Food was very good at the 2nd Floor restaurant and the staff put something together for us when we suddenly showed up at 9.30pm with a smile and apology for taking time, but it did not take over 20mins. We were very grateful. concierge desk is lucky to have one young man who speaks good english and efficient and friendly. Breakfast could be better. Free WIFI is limited to the lobby but would not load a single 300kb pic to email attachment to our family back home. In the rooms you could get paid WIFI for IR 25,000 per 24hours. This is faster and more reliable. Free use of the fitness centre and the billiard table in the lobby. Which was a load of fun. Staff is very friendly and helpful though they speak limited English they try to help as much as they can.

  Unexpectedly nice

  I spent quite some time to browse hotel in Surabaya because we wanted to book a room for 3 people without extra bed. Apparently, finding triple bed rooms there was a hard task to do. And a week before our departure we found Twin Hotel at Agoda at reasonable price, lucky us! The hotel was far from the airport. It literally took almost 1h 15min to get there. Thankfully, the room was not a disappointment. There were 2 rooms, one with cabinet and dresser while the other one was just plain bed with nothing else. The TV was sufficient accompanied with nice comfy sofa. The bathroom was compact, clean and efficient. However, I didn't understand the point and use of sink and kitchen cabinet there since we can do nothing with it. There was also only one chair aside the sofa which made the three of us felt awkward on how we should sit and gather when we wanted to discuss our trip destination. Thumbs up for the pool, even though it was small, but it was secluded and have out door dining area. We spent one of our nights listening to live music and enjoying apple pie, one thing that i highly recommend from their restaurant (5th fl). Walk around the hotel for 100m or so, you'll find surprise there ;)

  Nice hotel with great values

  Been stayed here several time for business purposes and always satisfied with the service quality. The deluxe room is quite big with nice design and like no other room in the other hotels. The food is decent and the location is superb for me. Looking forward to try the Junior Suite on August!

  Decreased in quality of services

  The hotel is located in tower B, where tower A is for the apartment. After 2 nights stay at this hotel, I feel this hotel has decreased the quality of services than my previous stay a few months ago. Pros: There are only 6 spacious rooms (around 35 square meters) in every floor, clean and large bed, medium LCD TVs. Cons: -Although helpful, the staffs at the front desk was not too friendly. -This 19 levels (CMIIW) hotel has only two slow elevators and does not have an employee elevator, so the elevator often stops when we are going up or down. -The hot water is OK but the shower is not strong enough. -First time I entered the bathroom, I almost slipped because there was a puddle of water under the shower (AC wastewater). Be careful if you enter the bathroom. -Washbowl drainage was poor, so we need to wait a few minutes before the water dries. -AC in the room is not big enough so it took a long time to cooling down the room but located right above the bed, making us directly exposed to the wind. -Guests in room 183 were too noisy and talk in loud voices. -The fitness center is located on the 3rd floor tower A with limited equipment. -Free WiFi internet only available in the lobby, we must pay if we want to access the internet in our room. -The breakfast menu was limited, the taste were not too good. -The restaurants floor is dirty with spoiled food, dirty tissues, cigarette ashes and butts (even in a non - smoking area), we should ask the restaurant staffs for tea or coffee cup. -Some parts of this hotel are under renovation include 18th floor where I sleep, the handyman work, drilling, nailing, sawing the woods on the 18th floor right in front of my room until night. NOISY! -We cannot find the hotel information book and the room service menu in our room. -No electric kettle in the room, we must borrow from house keeping. No free tea or coffee in room -No safety box in room. -This hotel really needs to improve their quality in services and facilities.

  Great service with reasonable price!

  I stayed at this hotel on a 3D2N holiday in Surabaya. I chose to stay on th 18th floor with the view facing towards the Suramadu bridge. Location (approx without traffic jam): - 40 minutes from/ to the airport - 10 minutes walk from the Taman Makam Pahlawan/Heroic Cemetary Park (can be seen from inside the hotel room if you choose the one facing the park); - 10-15 minutes walk from the ITC Mall (selling computer gadgets); - 15-20 minutes drive to Masjid Ampel; - 1 hour drive to Suramadu bridge/ Jembatan Suramadu; - 10 minutes drive to Jembatan Merah/ Red Bridge; - 10 minutes drive to Grand City Mall Surabaya; - 15 minutes drive from Tunjungan City. - 1 hour drive from Dolly; - 10 minutes walk to Cheng Hoo Mosque, - 25 minutes walk to Taman Remaja Surabaya (THR)/ Taman Hiburan Remaja. At the end of the day, the location is very much subject to your objective of travelling. Transportation: There are taxis and trishaws on standby in front of the hotel. Or just request at the reception to call for taxis. Hotel Amenities: - Large open-door swimming pool at Level 5; - Open-door garden on Level 11 (connecting Tower A and B); - Atmosphere Spa (not owned by the hotel at the date of visit) at Level 6 with very reasonable price. The jacuzzi is facing the city. So at least not facing the wall. - Fitness Centre - Pub at Level 5 - 24 hours mini grocery store at the Lobby - Travel & Tours agency at the Lobby closes at 7pm Hotel Experience: Check in process takes less than 10 minutes. We were allowed to see the room first and the front office did offer to allow us to upgrade our room if we are not satisfied with the room we booked. The guys really did a wonderful job assisting us in making our decision. We were allowed a late check in at 1pm, but we did leave a bit later around 120pm. The front desk officer kept calling our room asking us to clear the room. Well, i can't blame them because it was our fault and I did apologise for that. Room amenities: Very basic (refrigerator, shampoo, shower foam, toothbrush). There was no mini bar. There was no water heater/ electronic kettle but available upon request. They did lend us one. We were not allowed to enjoy the view on the balcony as they locked the door. The water flow at the shower is an issue, as it dries out very slow. So if you are staying more than 2 person, the bathroom can get flooded for a while until it flows out to the drain. We did get extra pillow on request. Hot shower works fine. They do not have international adaptor, so do not forget to bring a few if you have few gadgets to re-charge. Sleeping Quality: Excellent! The room is so quiet. The bed is so comfy. The aircond works fine. I have no complaint on this. Overall Quality: Satisfied. Will I return: Yes. Will I recommend for others: Yes
