  CHEAP.....BUT OKAY

  Have visited Ostend on many many occasions and could not really say that the hotels there reach 5* standard.Some may 'boast' it but do not live up to the 'billing'.This hotel was a bit off the beaten track,but was only about 4/500 metres from the seafront and a little bit further to the harbour area,that has plenty of restaurants and bars to keep you amused. Staff were very helpful and friendly,the reception and bar area was very contemporary and clean.Being on the 4th floor it was necessary to use the lift,an old fashion one that was very small,max 3 people,so if you are a bit claustrophobic ask for a ground floor room when booking. The rooms were okay,they vary in size,I was in 408,it had two radiators so was nice and warm,also en-suite with a shower.At £35 per night (44) it's good value,did not have breakfast which was an extra 10.Would stay there again if visiting for a couple of days.

  Cheap, clean and in the centre

  It was not expensive, the rooms were clean and it is located in the centre. Just a few minutes walk from everywhere, Oostende is not that big. The service in the hotel is until 10pm and there is only WiFi in the lobby. I wanted to check out early in the morning because I had to catch a train and plane and there was nobody at the desk..also until 10pm. But they were quick to respond when I mailed that I needed an invoice on the company name so that's ok.

  Good price for normal quality

  Was booking 2 rooms for 2 nights. Is proper, not the big comfort, but nice service. Is ideal when you stay 1 or 2 nights. Location is perfect. Price -quality totally ok. The sea and the boulevard are only 2 minutes from the hotel.

  Excellent location and value

  Awesome location just a block or two from the beach. Friendly staff, clean room, excellent wifi. Highly recommended. Very good value for money. Walking distance to shopping and restaurants as well. Try the place across the street, not bad at all.

  Terrible experience

  Our first night was in a comfort room with no Wi-Fi in the room, very hot room with mosquitos (!!), the water in the tap was only warm, no cold water at all. Because our baby goes to sleep at 19h we needed to use a baby monitor but the lobby was so far that the connection didnt work. Second night we moved to a standard room (though we paid for a comfort) so the connection would work. The room was fresher but the window didn't close and they didn't even bothered to try to fix it. Lots of mosquitos at night :( But it was not worth changing room because the lobby didn't let us have a sandwich inside and closed at 21h and we ended up having to eat and wait in the fire escape chairs till bedtime. We paid for breakfast and first morning we had a nice omelet but the second morning they didn't offer it anymore. Coffee was really bad. One advise: between this hotel or not having a hotel at all, better to stay home.
