  Vacaciones con toda la familia.

  West Hill Bungalows en Curazao (Curacao). Es una estadia hermoza, placentera perfecta para disfrutar de unas vacaciones con toda la familia o si desea disfrutar del romance( luna de miel). En Curazao se hablan diferentes leguajes Ingles, Dutch, Espanol y Papiamento. Por esta cultura poliglota decidimos de viajar a Curazao ya que que somos una familia multicultural. Norman y Suzannah hablan perfectamente el espanol y el ingles lo que nos facilito la comunicacion para un recuentro con toda la familia hispana y norteamericana. Rentamos 2 Bungalows para las dos familias. Los Bungalows tienen un diseno europeo y fueron disenados por el dueno quien es un Arquitecto. Son modernos, espaciosos, pisos de madera,aire acondicionado, dos habitaciones, cama Matrimonial y el otro con dos camas y les proporcionan camas adicionales. La vista de los Bungalows tiene un balcon espacioso con mesas con una vista espectacular de un lado se puede ver el horizonte del mar y del otro lado la vista de una montana, llena de una vegetacion exotica y animales exoticos (iguanas, turpiales, cangrejos, conejos etc) en las mananas es el momento ideal para difrutar de la belleza y tranquilidad del lugar. Norman es un excelente anfitrion nos recibio con un paquete de bienvenida. El primer dia nos hizo un recorrido por todo el lugar y nos llevo a un restaurant cercano y nos respondio todas las preguntas en espanol y en ingles. Nosotros rentamos un vehiculo lo que nos facilito el recorrido por toda isla, las playas mas hermosas se encuentran a pocos minutos de los Bungalows tal y como CAS ABAU o PORTO MARY. El Aeropuerto esta localizado aproximadamente a 40 minutos del lugar asi como el area cosmopolitan de Willemstad (La Punta o Otrabanda). Altamente recomiendo los Bungalows, comodos, placenteros y muy hermosos. Y si posee una familia multicultural como la mia les va a encantar la estadia. Pensamos regresar de nuevo a Curazao y por supuesto a Westhills!

  traumatic

  Westpunt is quite isolated, the Westhill Bungalows is not a gated property and does not offer any safety or security measures. My family had a very traumatic experience, as they were attacked by 3 men who entered their bungalow at night. The criminals not only threatened my family with knives but hit one of my family badly on the head with a baseball bat. Besides ending in a hospital emergency room, all their money, documents and bags were robbed. We were also all badly bitten by bed bugs, we found signs of them in all 4 bedrooms we stayed in. We also found a scorpion in one of the bedrooms. Not much is said about safety in Curaçao, but this island does have violent crime issues, tourists should be very careful and try to stay in the safer parts of the island. Curaçao does offer a friendly tourist department and tourist police, but unfortunately you only know them after you are attacked... Be careful, be safe, get informed as much as possible if you're considering a trip to that island!

  Great place to stay

  We have been to Curacao several times and since we found this gem it is the only place we stay. There are 9 bungalows eight to rent and the caretakers are on site in the other. Our last visit was from November 18 to December 2nd and was great as always. Since our last stay there have been some changes on site. There are 2 locking gates that you are given a key for so security isn't an issue. Also Jan and Diane are no longer running the property they did stop by to say hello as they were leaving to go back home during our stay. Your new hosts are Animee and Rene and they are super people to deal with. This place is quiet at night so if you are looking for night life this isn't the place for you. We generally had the pool to ourselves. If you are a diver they have a tank for rinsing your gear. There is air conditioning in the bedrooms only and turning it on about an hour before bed was enough to cool the room down. For 2 weeks it cost us about $60 USD for the air conditioning charge. The bungalows are well situated close to several beaches and restaurants. There are a few amenities that the bungalows are lacking example any pan for the oven, plastic containers for leftovers, bowls and ( microwaves are only in a select few). If you stop at the Centrum for groceries before heading out they have styrofoam containers for cheap that you can buy. We picked some up and left a bunch behind. Also there is a charcoal grill on site that we used several times so you will need to buy charcoal if you plan to bbq. The bottom of the grill was rusted out when we were there so perhaps they have replaced it since our visit.

  Late December in Westhill Bungalows

  Quiet and relaxing location. Great view (sea view). 3min to s perfect almost emply beach (sand with great snorkeling posibilities). Helpful and nice management. Bang for the buck rating is vert high, this is is a great part if the island and Westhill Bungalows is perfect for a family that wants a relaxing vacation. Sol Food about 10min walk away offers perfect food Fridan to Sunday, check out the homepage and make a reservation.

  West Hill goes Down Hill

  We visited west hill apartments for the third time in 10 years as we always loved it there The location is still beautiful and cottage number 9 still has a stunning views of the coast and the sea , but we were quite disappointed in the resort and left two days early. We found the park quite dilapidated in its upkeep. The cottage was not very clean and the pool was full of insects and leaves and didn't look very clean either. There was excrement of mice or cockroaches in the drawers of the dresser in the living room and the garbage bin was broken. There were a huge amount of mosquitoes in the bedrooms and no mosquito nets which made sleeping difficult. Management didn't seem very interested or bothered to do anything about it. The bathroom was old and dirty and the water in the toilet leaked so you had to turn the tap of and on the whole time As we come from the island, we wanted to meet up with friends at the cottage to chat and chill like we always did on our cottage porch, but this was nit allowed anymore by the new management. There was also little parking space so we had to park the car outside the gate quite often, which wasn't that safe as management had told us there had been break ins by their own guard and others in the last years.
