    Excellent budget hotel

Remember Seoul hotels are expensive so what you pay for a 2 star here would get you a 5 star in say Bangkok. We paid 130 usd for a triple room and its small. Im not complaining because thats standard for the region . The staff are super friendly and accommodating. The breakfast is above average and tasty. Location is excellent although a little hard to find the first time. It was clean and doing laundry was a breeze. Wouldnt hesitate to stay again and if you are a foodie there are lots of small Korean family restaurants n arby. My only conplaint would be the coffee shop only opens for breakfast.

    Loved everything except one detail

Location: Located about a five minute walk from Myeongdong station exit 10. That's about a 10 minute walk from the Myeongdong shopping street so it's very convenient for folks who plan to do a lot of shopping like I did. The hotel is sandwiched between a Kia Motors which you'll most likely see first before seeing the hotel since it's bright orange and then behind the hotel is a Kiswel which is taller than the hotel itself. The hotel isn't quite on the main road so it may be easy to miss - in my first night arriving I ended up walking in from the back side (downhill) versus from the main street (uphill). Reception and staff: Upon arrival the staff at the front desk at the title was very nice and even asked how my flight was. It's a small gesture but it's very appreciated. The reception staff also helps with the breakfast prep and serving in the morning so if you arrive before 9 a.m. and don't see anyone behind the desk, make sure to check the dining area because that's where they're most likely be. A couple actually arrived at 8:30 in the morning and went up to the second floor right when I left my room and I had helped redirect them back to the first floor. On another occasion it was a cold evening so the AC has been turned off but as a result the power button has been blinking red non-stop despite trying to turn it on and off. This became extremely distracting as I'm the type of person who can only sleep in a pitch-black environment. So I reached out to the lobby and all they could not find a fixed immediately they did offer a short-term solution which was covering the button with black tape and that was all I needed so thank you. Room: My room was 202. The room was extremely spacious for a single person. I was able to fully open my carry-on, lay out a duffel bag, open my backpack, dry my umbrella and still have plenty of space to walk around. In the room you'll find a refrigerator, a safe, an AC unit (which can only be turned on or off; you need to contact the lobby to adjust the temperature), a hot water kettle and some of the other more obvious things such as a desk, TV, stool etc. Note the room setup indicates that you need to take off your shoes upon entering as the floor level is higher than the entrance. I discovered that when it gets cold the hotel can set up heated floors so we want to keep the floors clean from dirty outside shoes. Two things I didn't like about those room goes that I was located right in front of the elevator so I can pretty much hear when people talk in the hallway. Halfway through my stay I believe a family moved in they talk really loud (as do their rowdy children). Also, the room has a night light from where you insert the key that does not shut off. As I said previously I sleep best when it's pitch black and the night light is pretty bright but I've learned to deal with it in the last week I've stayed here. Luckily the curtains are near blackout status which means only a little light comes in but overall it's doing his job pretty well. Bathroom: One huge thing I appreciate about this hotel is that there is a shower curtain to keep water from splashing everywhere while you shower. Upon check-in you will be offered a hair dryer and a wall adapter but make sure you return it during check-out. Per previous reviews, the towels (2) provided were equivalent to a hand or hair towel size at best however I brought my own to use. The towels will be replaced and the bottled water provided will be replenished daily. There are two sets of sandals in the room, one pair for the bathroom (the one with the little balls for therapeutic purposes I believe and can be used in the shower) and another pair for generally used in the room. Toiletries: Aside from your general hand soap, shower gel, shampoo and conditioner there really isn't that much there. You need to supply yourself with your own toothbrush and toothpaste, shower cap if you use one and everything else. You may also request additional clothes hangers from the lobby if needed but must be returned during check-out. Laundry: It cost 2500 wash and 2500 drying however the machines are not operated so you must pay the front desk and they will help you operate it and provide you with both detergent and fabric softener. They typically have both machines running to wash and dry the towels so it's best to give them in advance notice so they can clear them out for you. The weird part about this whole system was that washing takes 90 minutes and drying takes 30 minutes which is kind of backwards (past experience with other hotels take 30 mins to wash and 60-90 mins to dry) but it does the job. You can either time it yourself and come check the laundry or the front desk can also call you when your wash is complete and you have to move it into the dryer and when you're dry is done and you can pick up your clothes. Breakfast: Yes, the breakfast was excellent and above and beyond for a budget hotel. It's a mini buffet consisting of: yogurt + basic toppings, japchae, bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs + ketchup, kimchi, rice balls, daily soup (varies) tteokbokki, toast or bun, 3 types of cereal and milk, OJ, and coffee. Ironically, this was the first time I had tteokboki in Korea and came to love them (ones from the States left a bad impression on me). Breakfast is from 7-9 a.m. and guests receive 20% off the cafe. The one big issue that I had with this room and hopefully it's limited to this room was that the bathroom smelled funky. As soon as I entered the first night, I couldn't make out what it was or where it was from but it was rank. That night I immediately purchased an air freshener. Soon after I discovered it was from the bathroom and kept the door shot whenever I'm present and the room smelled okay (FYI this smell has nothing to do with #2's bc it was already there when I showed the first night and onwards)... Maybe it's a wet shower thing?

Accommodation at good location and Low Cost

The hotel is located within short distance to Myeong-dong and Chungmuro metro station. Airport Bus is also within 5 min walk. Budget hotel with alright breakfast. However, the bed is not comfortable and I can feel the spring of the mattress. Would suggest the hotel to improve the mattress quality.

    The rooms size is ridiculous!

The room size of the hotel is so small you cannot even open your luggage. Everyday you have to open the bag and close it back ready for tomorrow cloth to wear. The toilet is not clean and have a funky smell. Although it has 3 beds but it is definitely ok for just 2 people. There is no place to hang your cloth and the angle of the TV is so weird. What makes up for the bad rooms is the location of the hotel. It is about 5 minutes walk to myeongdong. However for the price it charges in december, I should have paid a bit more and get a decent size room hotel. It is not really very cheap for what it is worth.

    good location

Okay property with awesome location with most markets, Seoul N tower, subway, bus stations (including airport transfer) all within walking distance. Really small rooms with barely any space. Small bathrooms and not a good view either. Extra star for the hotel staff which was really helpful and the Breakfast which was superb, recommend to include
