  Relaxing break...

  Even though it's bit off the beaten track this is a good base for the surrounding area, upon a arrival had to wait to check in due to social distancing all handled well, we had lodge number 8 great place to stay, lodge well appointed, 2 bedrooms 1 en suite, kitchen had all necessary equipment, grounds well kept and clean, good bar area people but you are a bit of a captive audience, obviously some activities are restricted, writing this as a Diamond club member but I would like to think this doesn't matter to the staff, will try to visit again soon. Only gripe would be car parking.

  Excellent

  Being members of Diamond we stay here as a base to play golf at Branston and visit some local places of interest. We took the lodge option due to the current Covid issue and must say how well this place is managed. Diamond rang prior to our visit to advise us of the additional precautions they were taking regarding Covid and we were not disappointed. The whole week was very relaxing so thanks to all the staff for their efforts. Would highly recommend and see you again soon. G & L Smith

  Great apartment, good facilities, super staff

  Lovely well-equipped facilities, great staff and appropriate Covid preparations left us feeling very safe. Loved our apartment and the swimming pool. Only down side is that the 9 hole golf course isn't being maintained, although understandable in the current climate the resort could do more to manage expectations on this

  Perfect

  We are members of Diamond but had never used this resort as we originally come from very nearby. However, we are out of area now and decided to try this as a base to visit friends and family. We were so impressed with everything from the very safe check in procedures, amazing receptionist, cosy clean apartment and lots more. We had a meal in the restaurant onsite and loved the food and service - couldn't fault anything. We stayed in the coach house which had adequate parking and all in all it was fabulous. We will be back

  Great base for the area

  Centrally located for Stafford, Shropshire, Derbyshire and West Midlands with good road connections. TheA38 Wychnor turn off is a sharp left but has enough room to brake sharply before going over the little bridge. then 1.5 mile straight and narrow with an interesting single part traffic light (Timed lights approx 2 minutes). Please note on exit to A38 you have to turn North to go South but it's only a mile on the A38 to the Catholme turn off. Returning from the North on the A38 is a bit longer to the A513 Rugeley/Alrewas/Arboretum turn off but not that far. Recommend nearby Alrewas for little village walk (2 good pubs George & Dragon and The Crown), you can get to it in 30-40 minutes on footpaths from the Club down across the fields - entering the village across one of the 2 Bailey Bridges. We had an apartment in the courtyard block, very nice and clean all amenities, comfortable. Parking wasn't a problem near the crazy golf or round the coach-house block. Staff were very helpful, all Covid secure. We visited all around, highlights for us were: Blists Hill & Ironbridge (Lunch White Hart Inn), LIchfield, Hardwick Hall (lunch the Hardwick Inn), Shugborough Hall, Coventry Cathedral and Transport museum. We had a warm welcome everywhere.
