  Good hotel to be away from crowds

  I stay here many times when coming to Donaueschingen for business. If you are looking for active social life and shopping, this hotel is not for you. I like to be in a quiet (nature) area and relax when I am out of meetings and this hotel fits perfectly. After meals at the nice restaurant, I can hike up to the hill behind the town and enjoy the view from higher up - it is a good 40 min walk but you can see Swiss alps on a clear day. The owners are very friendly and I consider this home away from home for me. this hotel also carry a very fine selection of wine. I love this place!

  The hidden gem of Hufingen

  We were really satisfied with this hotel. Stopping in Hufingen on our way to Titisee, we got one of the biggest rooms we've been to (and we were 4 on that trip), good beds, great bathrooms. This seems like a family run hotel, and after check in the maid offered to carry our luggage 3 floors up (no elevator) - service was whenever needed. They speak English, but were more than happy to speak German. The hotel is near a church, but with windows closed it didn't bother us. The surrounding area is just magical in the night, pastoral in the days. We arrived too late, learned that the hotel's restaurant was very good only the next morning, with a good, rich both in flavor, quality and sight of the restaurants design. Except of the fact there's no elevator, when we stayed there WIFI signal on the 3rd floor apartment was very very weak, and could be used only near the windows, either didn't dent our stay. Highly recommended.

  Nice and comfortable

  The hotel is located within the center of Hüfingen. This is a small town where you can expect and quiet and comfortable stay. The surroundings provide a lot of opportunities for running or cycling. We got placed in the guest house which is just a few meters away from the main house.

  Amazing restaurant

  Shame about the room!!! Stayed in the annex up the road unfortunately. No welcome drink. One small bottle of water in 3 days. No tissues, sachets of shower gell and nowhere to put them in the shower. Noisy metal shutters and no curtains so you get woken up by other guests! The staff are lovely and it's clean!

  Nice place shame about the flies

  This is a very nice hotel and very friendly, good breakfast, nice bar and we had a good nights sleep - cannot fault it. Apart from one very annoying to us (locals did not seem to mind) the flies - they are everywhere! I would have thought a few zappers in the public places would have sorted them - very odd
