  I stayed at the Admiral Hotel as part of a group tour and not by choice, but I would advise those who have the choice to stay away from this hotel. Upon arrival, I found the lobby dark and unwelcoming. My roommate and I entered our room, and found hair on the blankets and open safety pins and more hair on the unswept floor. The room reeked of cigarette smoke. We soon found that our toilet's flush handle was broken and the toilet would not flush. We asked for a second room, and were relocated to another floor of the hotel where apparently no one else was staying; the hallway lights were off and the hallway was so dark that we could barely read the room numbers on the doors to find our room. The second room was as grungy of the first, with more hair on the beds. Also, the key card that activated the room's electricity only kept the electricity on when set at a certain angle, making it difficult to keep the room lit. The bathroom was the worst hotel bathroom I have ever seen: dirty, rusty, moldy. The toilet seat did not fit the toilet, and the toilet bowl itself was stained with rust. The shower and the sink did not look clean, either. The lack of any other guests at the hotel was also disconcerting, though not unexplained given the hotel's condition. We visited the beach to get away from the room, and upon returning we were reprimanded for washing our feet in the hotel pool, even though there was no sign indicating that we should do otherwise. The children of the hotel staff were running about the lobby and around the outside dinner area during our meal, generally creating an annoying and unprofessional atmosphere. The food itself was adequate but nothing extraordinary, and it was served on a tablecloth covered with stains and holes. A waiter came up beside me with a small broom and dust pan to sweep some spilled rice off my table while I was still eating; it was an odd interruption, felt like a pointed insult for having spilled food, and made me think that the broom might better be used in the rooms themselves. Overall, it was an unpleasant and unrestful experience, not worth any amount of money. I have no idea how this hotel got the 3 stars it so proudly boasts on its sign. If you're looking to take a holiday along the Mediterranean coast, choose another hotel.
