  Second stay that wont be the last.

  This was our second stay at the Aldington, we wouldn't stay anywhere else when back in Launceston. James, the owner, is just great, and accommodating above and beyond. We had the same room as last year (room 11) due to my wife being disabled. And just like last year we were made to feel very welcome. Since our first stay in 2019 I've recommended the Aldington to everyone I know travelling to Launceston.

  Hidden Gem in Launceston

  Despite checking in at 8pm due to a late flight, James' polite service at reception was fantastic. We were walked up to our room and shown the facilities of the room (aircon, Wifi, Netflix). He also gave us a map and his dinner recommendations around the area. The room was clean and comfortable, both the bath and shower worked perfectly - couldn't ask for anything more. Whilst being next to a school, we had no issues with noise and the front balcony provided a nice view of the city. I would be rating 6 stars if I could.

  Lovely stay

  Everything was lovely. I phoned the property to find out more about the types of rooms available and had a great chat with James, he was very helpful and accommodating. We had a city view spa room, it was clean, large and had a coffee machine as well as the usual tea and coffee making facilities. And there was a well stocked mini bar. The spa was a decent size, room for 2. We enjoyed drinks on the balcony overlooking Launceston. The Hotel is quiet and in a good position, close to the town, cataract gorge and eating places. I couldn't fault it.

  Nothing to complain about here.

  This really is a nice place central to everything you may need in downtown Launceston. The manager is a personable guy who goes out of his way to make you welcome. Anywhere you might want to find or know about seemed to be at his fingertips. The room was a fair size with a communal balcony at the front, but no access from the room. The balcony and room to a degree looked out over the rooftops of the city. There was housekeeping every morning and the wifi worked fine. If I had a small complaint, the fridge was stocked to the brim with all sorts of offerings and no room for any of ours. There is a microwave, so I guess there should be some thought given in this area. All in all, it was good value for money and a comfortable stay.

  Excellent customer service and location

  We stayed at Auldington for 5 nights and it was really lovely. James was very friendly and his hospitality was highly commendable. He explained to us the places to go, eat and was always there to help. The hotel itself is located at a very safe and strategic location. Cafes and restaurants are within walking distance. It was an added bonus that the rental car company Budget was just down the street. I highly recommend his place on your next stay at Launceston.
