Worse than dog foodI seriously would not recommend eating at this place,my dog eats better than the food served here, service was terrible the waitress spilled my soup all over the table and didn't even attempt to clean it up, she just left it like that, the pizzas were disgusting, burned on the bottom, soggy and quite tasteless, would not go there again if they paid me to eat there

Great ski dealWe choose this year to spend our ski vacation in Sölden the we make a contact with this hotel after reading good reviews so this is our impression location 5 200m from one of the main gondolas The rooms are 4 very comfortable but a little bit spartan The service is great they make a real effort to helps us there is also a ski shop at the hotel so you can rent the equipment here The best is the price we stay 7 nights the prices was 1025 per person and that includes 6 days ski pass (264 is the price) breakfast and dinner thats what I call good value for the money

Excellent Base for a Ski HolidayI stayed with my family for a week over the English February half term. We booked two Pine Rooms which easily accommodated my wife and three children aged 16, 13 and 8. The nearest lift was the gondola that in two short hops takes you to the Ice Q restaurant at 3,000 meters. As one of my children had her first snowboarding lessons we also took the ski bus to the lift at the other end of the town which was fine, although busy at times. Unless you're an absolute beginner you can ski from the nearest lift to the ski schools via blue runs and two lift hops. The rooms were great, clean, spacious with good bathrooms and generous sized baths. The basement gives access to the ski rental shop which has up to date equipment and the lads working there were helpful and the collection and drop off of equipment was straightforward. The hotel also has it's own racks and boot storage which is heated and ventilated overnight. Access via the basement is from 8am however you can also get in at the rear of the building out of hours. It really couldn't be easier. We stayed half board and had meals everynight in the hotel. Each night had different meal options and plenty of buffet accompaniments which meant everyone went to bed full and happy. In our opinion the food was great, some of the dishes were exceptional. Normally we would get bored and go out to eat somewhere different but it just didn't happen so that says it all. The staff who looked after us were fantastic, thank you Lazslo and Kristina for taking such good care of us and to everyone else we met who made our stay a pleasure. I ate in the cafe at one lunchtime and the food there was great as well. The wine list had enough choice to provide variety for me over the seven nights and was well priced and great value. We were able to spend our last day skiing and the hotel has shower facilities in the basement however take a swim suit as they are part of the spa and the glass isn't frosted. There is an adjacent luggage room to store your equipment. Overall I think the hotel and more importantly the staff is/are fantastic and perfectly suited our needs. My family have all expressed a desire to return next year! Thank you family Gstrein!

Skiing holidayVery nice and cosy hotel with a perfect location just beside a ski-lift, in the heart of Sölden. Incredible friendly and helpful stuff, all of them. Excellent food! All of it together makes a stay in Sölden even better. Can highly recommend it, best choice.

Good location, clean and functionalI'm not often inclined to write a review, however on this occasion there were a few things I wanted to comment on for future guests to know. Overall the hotel is clean, well located near the lift, good access to basement ski rental hire and storage and very functional. It isn't the hotel you would want to stay in if you want anything more than a basic hotel room and somewhere to sleep. The furnishings are very minimal. A few minor details (no kettle or fridge in any rooms) small things I know, but when you are away from home, it's mini luxuries you miss! Also a better option of pillows (most of us had to ask for more!) The service I feel was the biggest disappointment. We were met with quite a dismissive attitude on several occasions, when asking for certain things made us all feel we were a nuisance or it was a request out of the ordinary. That aside, everything else was fine and it was also very quiet, so great to get some peace after a long day skiing!
