  I fell in love

  We had a great time in Crete. The locals are so hospitable and they treat you with dignity, they do not try to outsmart you like in some places. The meals were the best part of the stay, many thanks to cooks. Weiters were great as well. We didn't come with big expectations, so we have no other complains towards accomodation, oblý that the bathroom wasn't in the best condition, the toilet and the shower were quite dirty. I truly felt wonderful and I event consider comeback. Thanks Bali Mare

  Lies & untidiness

  It's not 3 stars as they was advertised . Beginning with location - not 10 m from the beach but 600m at least in the strait line. Interesting planning and realization, but this is only positive thing to say about this amenity. Reception is not working at night and there is not any information where receptionist might be found-found it quite interesting way when car hire dealer woke me up after midnight knocking at the doors Nothing works in the room except a/c- not the tv not fridge ,not even wc basin, shower without holder and curtains,taps rusty and dirty. Electrical contacts with traces of burns All covered with thick level of dust.Room was cleaned up first time on the first and only time on the 4th day of our stay, and towels on the floor was ignored all other days. Dinning hall dirty ,untidy and waiting under any critics.Food un-tasty and almost same every day. After found black hairs in omelet and main dish ,stopped to use it's offers at all. Worst hotel even visited.

  Time for an honest review!

  So lets start with positives; its a good location if youre prepared and relatively fit to walk; closest hotel to the public bus stop for Rethymno etc, 5 mins walk to beach (more back as its uphilll!), plenty of gorgeous fresh tomatoes, oranges and olives at every meal, quiet with no naff animations to contend with. Most of staff attentive and friendly; especially Hassan in restaurant and the Albanian cousins on bar and reception. Nice view from pool and restaurant. Not so good: very few brits and lots of Russians some of whom were not so polite. Our room was relatively new but soon developed a leak which was attended to but not fixed despite a few requests. Air con extra and would be needed late June to early sept! Food; always something edible but lacking local Cretan delicacies (one time we had spinach pie and once fresh sardines); youll need to eat elsewhere if you want anything other than tsatsiki of traditional mezes and forget the olive oil! Breakfast particularly limited. Beer, white wine and raki drinkable but bar open only 11-7; you may persuade restaurant to let you have a drink up to about 10.30 but nothing where most end up (in reception where WiFi is) If your flight (good old Ryanair) delayed you wont get food after 9pm; receptionist re-opened restaurant so I could at least have water and a coffee! So dont expect luxury but if you can get a cheap price and prepared to mix hotel food with going further afield you can make a holiday out of it!

  Cheap hotel with good location

  Don't expect any kind of comfort - this is rather cheap place with corresponding quality and service. Initially we booked a standard rooms, but all standard rooms are located closely to each other with only gardenview. You will be checked-in at about 10-11am, but tryto negotiate a better room or even own cottage - change is free of charge. Free Internet only in the lobby. Remote control for air conditioner cost 5$ per night, but don't pay - you can switch it on from electric panel with main swithers. Restaurant food is awuful - for breakfast, lunch and dinner food is almost the same: two kinds of pasta, rosated chicken wings, un-fresh vegetables. To sum up - don't get fooled by "All inclusive" - it is not working here.

  Very Friendly hotel

  The hotel is ideal for familles Very good food very friendly staff All under covid protocols We come back next year again The food was very very good and good variety of meat fish salads sweets and Thank you Bali Mare
