  Excellent hotel

  Well located at the lake, access to a spa and wellness cetre at the lake, with very pleasant interior (rest rooms, bar etc). Outside capacities for sun chairs may be a bit too small if hotel is fully booked (which it was when we stayed there). Excellent restaurant with good food, perfect service, motivated servants and staff. We had a two room suite with balcony, marvellous view on lake. Delicious breakfast. In sum: A perfect palce to stay; we have been there for two weeks and nothing is to be criticised, we were fully happy.

  High expectations not met

  Ok, the Weissenseerhof claims to be a bio-vital Hotel and actually this is true. Warm atmosphere, a lot of wood, fresh herbs and vegetables from the own garden...this is all fine, however: You are sharing the hotel with flies, spiders and other insects all over. There are spiders in almost each corner and it looks like this is part of the hotel strategy. Bathrooms are extremely clean and other areas as well, which makes one believe that the clearly visible dirty spots are simply accepted as part of nature... Service is friendly but extremely unprofessional. The difference between a top 4 star service staff and the girls in this hotel is so high, that similar to the spiders it seems like the owners want it that way for a special countryside and rural charm. We asked for example one waitress what they serve today as speciality (the menu says "variety of special each day") and the waitress answered with "I am sorry, nothing today, but we had good stuff yesterday"... Then we asked if they serve lunch. The answer was "yes, but only vegetarian. However, you can always eat somewhere else if you don't like it" muahahaha, this is just too wired for not being a "feature" :-) The food itself is a mixture of extremely delicious and awful bad cooking. Side dishes, salat buffet and drinks (especially the Martini Bianco which is one of the best we had European wide, but also the vine menu) are very delicious and served in a top way. Professional look and taste. High class. But the main courses, especially meat and fish is on a low 3 star level. Meat was always too well done. Fish without taste and one cannot believe this extreme differences between side dishes and main course. The main attraction however is anyhow the local lake spa. This is the reason to go there. High end spa, best location at the lake, fair prices and the most beautiful nature around. Take away the spa and you have an average 3 star hotel with an above average restaurant.

  Super friendly, great spa, right on lake

  The Weissensee is one of Austria's treasures - clean, clear, fresh. This spa hotel has great service, a wonderful breakfast spread, and access to the lake is right across the quiet street, where the spa is located. Comfortable rooms with great bedding. Quiet. We enjoyed our stay very much and only regretted that it was so short. Can't wait to go back!

  Muy linda ubicacion y servicio

  El hotel es de primer nivel, con buenas instalaciones y servicios. Ubicado frente al lago con una muy buena zona de spa y deportes al aire libre. Solo pediria una mejora del desayuno. La atencion de su personal es muy buena.

  All vegetarian/vegan hotel, fabulous spa with lake access.

  For our stay at the Weissenseerhof we have booked the "romantic package" bookable via their homepage. We will review about the sea spa and the hotel area itself separately. 1) Hotel On arrival we were first amazed by the overall atmosphere and the location. The room was very clean and bright and offered access to a balcony with view over the lake. Unfortunately not everything promised in the package was fulfilled. ( no rose petals on bed, no welcome drink, no candle light dinner accompanied by vine ) However, they offered to compensate for their mistakes with a free late checkout. Because we are non-alcoholics they offered us free non-alcoholic drinks instead of the vine to each dinner. Because we passed on the carriage ride they offered us a free boat tour across the lake. They did serve us breakfast in bed as promised. The service overall felt a bit chaotic and unorganised, with quite some waiting times at the first dinner. We did find out that the whole service team was new due to recent changes in ownership. 2 ) Spa-Area The spa is a one of its kind on the Weissensee and beautifully made. The service personal is very friendly and the kitchen-chef is open to individual request. ( e.g. He offered a special meal just for us ) Nevertheless the waiting times here were higher as well. We had some fantastic massages that were tailored to our needs. The wellness area is perfectly equipped and felt very inviting. Overall some things went wrong but they tried very much to compensate for their mistakes. We appreciated that everyone on the team is at least vegetarian too, which transferred into a high standard for the vegan/vegetarian philosophy throughout the hotel. We would recommend this hotel for vegetarians/vegans and would love to come here again.
