Some nice points, but also truly strangeMy fiancee and I stayed here for 4 rainy days and 3 nights while we explored Jeju Island. Our suite featured 2 rooms: the main room, with small kitchenette, king-sized bed, and seating area; and a separate room.with a queen bed. There were also 2 bathrooms--one luxurious, with a large walk-in shower, and the other more basic. Unlike most rooms in the hotel, our suite did not have a balcony. On the strange side: (a) perhaps because we stayed there mid-week, the hotel seemed largely deserted for our first 24 hours. This didn't cause any problems--the reception counter was staffed, we got our room OK, etc.--it's just weird to be in a hotel with no (or at least few) guests. (b) the interior design is, for lack of a better word, weird. The color scheme is predominantly minimal, white and dark colors--and the furniture is all shiny, ornate, French-revival style in saturated primary colors. The separate room was almost entirely white except for a screaming yellow headboard. That, combined with the fact that it did not have a window, made the room creepy to the point of being scary, and we avoided it for the duration of our stay. (c) it seems clear that the owners aspire to making the hotel a high-end, modern, luxury hotel, but at the same time there were many minor mistakes that even a humble motel wouldn't make--no drawers in the room to store clothes, only closets; in those closets, mismatched and broken hangers FROM OTHER HOTELS; bath and hand towels, but no washcloths; a lamp on one side of the bed but not on the other. On the plus side: (a) the staff was helpful and friendly. (b) overall, the hotel is an interesting, modern design (I'm an architect so am always looking at design); it just falls down in the execution and details. (c) the pool is large and nice; on warm sunny days, it must be a pleasant place to spend an afternoon. (d) as other travelers mention, the buffet breakfast is nicely done and varies every day. In short--it's worth a try for the strong points, but I'm sure there are other, better options on the island.

i would like to stay this hotel again next time if i visit jeju.I'm just back from this hotel and i and my girlfriend loved it. the hotel is located near the airport and shore. the atmosphere is amazing. i could tell it even though it was raining and snowing while we were staying. they upgraded us (they knew i was gonna ask my girl for a marriage) to a deluxe suit which includes 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, the bathroom is digital and electronic like setting water temperature is a up-and-down button and stuff, which is very convenient. one thing that makes us happy is when a room has an awesome bathroom, like Villa de Aewol. The hotel impressed us with not just their bathroom but its view through the window and stuff. On the other hand, what i didn't like was the breakfast buffet. i don't eat much in the morning so it was fine for me but just if i had to compare with the other hotels that i have stayed. the selection wasn't various but i didn't mind at all. anyway i would like to stay this hotel again next time if i visit jeju.

Nice Hotel, good staff, Enjoy !I stayed here with my wife for 4 nights and it was a great experience. The view from my balcony was excellent, could see the serene sea. The breakfast served was fulfilling with continental options. Staff was able to recommend things and taxis, overall great experience. And yes, they were able to speak English, so that was cool.

terrible noise all night! .I couldn't sleep at all because of terrible noise (mixed sound of water drain and electricity) from ceiling all night. I called the front desk and they said it's temporary but it went on and on all night. I complained when I was checking out but the staff didn't care... what a terrible night!! seriously, AVOID THIS HOTEL. . . . . .

Eerie hotelWe stayed for three nights and four days in June. When the taxi drove up to the hotel, it seemed deserted. We all thought perhaps the hotel was not open for the season. The glass windows were covered in dust and grime, the lights seemed dim and we did not see anyone in the lobby. I peeked in to find it was indeed open and they had our reservation. There was an eerie feel to the place as if time stood still from when this was a bustling hotel. The female staff member was very friendly, the man was gruff. We found our room which was surpringly spacious though felt cold and unwelcoming. There were no dressers to put your clothes in and 3 hangers the entire room! When asked for more hangers, housekeeping revealed they were low on hangers in the hotel! Really?!?! We lived out of our bags, made packing to go home easier- I guess. The breakfast was good the first day. It was the same the three days we stayed there, by the third day I chose toast. Management should take a look at putting in some dressers, cleaning the exterior for curb appeal and perhaps make the lobby more friendly atmosphere. The current state of the hotel looks uninviting and dinghy.
