  If you are looking for cheap accommodation near the beach and do not mind older furniture, this hotel is ideal. Cleaning of room was every day and everything was clean. The only negative is Wi-Fi, which was only available at the reception and air conditioning charge of 7 per day.

  They could do better

  Staff not so friendly, cleanliness was poor and for a couple of days our room is not been cleaned. At least the manager apologised for the mistake about the cleanliness and he gave us a discount on the final amount. Breakfast was poor, with fruit and water not served cold which is not the best idea in summer time. Wi-Fi was working just in common areas. They could definitely do better even because the hotel is in a good position, close to the beach and to Laganas main road.

  we stayed at this hotel for 2 weeks in august, can't fault the hotel at all, all the staff were so nice and helpful the room we stayed in has recently been renovated and was fantastic, cleaned every day with fresh sheets and towels. the location was very close to the beach with fantastic views over the bay.5 minute walk to all the local night life but far enough to be quiet at night. they provide a continental breakfast every day which was lovely. that have a fantastic pool which is nice and quiet, complete with pool bar serving drinks and snacks. special thanks to Paris and dimitri to great people, they even let you keep your room or provide one if you have a later fight, with no charge . will definitely be returning. thanks again

  Great holiday

  It was a very great hotel, we had a very pleasant stay. The hotel was very close to the beach, especially if you went at the back. You just have to walk some steps and can walk in the sand. There are renovated rooms, those are looking very great. The not renovated rooms are okay. It was clean. They cleaned it everyday and changed the sheets. If you take out the rail from the fridge you can put 3 or 4 big bottle of water in. There is a club in front of the Hotel it's very loud. There are young people everywhere they are shouting until 4 a.m. everyday. So if you want to have a rest, don't go to Laganas, but it's not the Hotel's fault. The breakfast was good, vegetables were only every second day, but you can always find something for yourself. Bread, eggs, melon, greek yogurt, honey... If you go here you have to try out the Mexican Steakhouse, it's crazy :)

  Lovely hotel run by a lovely family!!

  California beach hotel is a small family run hotel just off of the strip. I went with a friend for a party holiday as we're both 21 so the location was perfect and most of our events were at pure beach club which is literally outside so it was ideal. Our room was spacious and cleaned every day, not only did they change the sheets and towels but actually put all our clothes in our suitcase aswell! The room had aircon we had to pay 7 a day for which we didnt mind and also a free breakfast (the breakfast wasnt what we expected but still there were boiled egg, feta cheese, veg that kind of thing). The family that run the hotel actually take in stray cats so theres a few of them running about the reception area which we didnt mind as they were all so friendly, especially the kittens! Staff were very friendly and helpful with any queries and wifi in the reception area was very good. It is much quieter than any of the hotels on the strip as its further away and not an 18-30 which we were happy with. The pool was quite quiet but Laganas breeze is right next door, with a cheap and cheerful pool bar and full of youngsters. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again!
