  OK, but...

  Chances are you are visiting Quang Ngai for two reasons only - work or to see My Lai/Son My as the city is a bit off the tourist route. (We were actually visiting a friend, and were actually excited about seeing a non-tourist part of the country.) If so, this place is ok for a night, The pool was a very welcome diversion on a hot day. Nice views from the 5th floor. Staff had hardly any English but were very friendly and helpful. The mattress was paper thin and shower pressure was minimal. Breakfast was different - on the top floor of the building, very little we recognised, but since it was included it filled the stomach. Not a 4 star hotel as we might expect elsewhere, but it was ok. Apparently we were several big blocks away from the shopping part of the city, but there were a few restaurants within a 5 minute walk.

  Worst hotel ever.

  I stayed in this hotel as it was booked by the cycling tour organises. This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. I had requested non smoking rooms, my rooms as well as other traveling companions rooms had an aweful stench of cigarette smoke. There was mould growing in the bathroom, you felt dirtier after a shower than before. I did get moved to another room, it may have been larger but still disgustingly dirty and smelly. Again non smoking, stench of cigarettes as well as an ashtray and matches provided. The bed was like sleeping on a piece of wood. I went to the Spa for a 1hr massage, it lasted 15 mins, the young girl was more I interested in watching TV on her phone or leaving the room to chat outside the door. She then tried to demand a tip, by standing infront of the door as I went to leave. No wonder they want your money up front before the massage.

  Stay away from this place

  Any photos about this hotel that you can find online, are probably photos from 2008, which was when we stayed here the very 1st time. Now, in 2019, everything in this hotel is day and night from the photos. Everything is old, worn, and stained, and dusty, as you might expect from a cheap motel. Every room smelled moldy. We booked 5 nights through an OTA but found the place uninhabitable and checked out 2 hours after checking in, so we requested a refund of 4 nights (which was a lengthy and frustrating process, thanks to the Sales Rep.) Receptionists and bell man were nice though.

  Friendly hotel

  Its not a new hotel but its clean and well decorated. It has buffet for breakfast, swimming pool and dinner here is not too expensive. About 15-20 kms to the beach. People here are also very friendly and helpful. Love to stay here.

  Stay away!!!

  My friend and I stayed at this hotel because our cycling tour booked it. Worst. Hotel. Ever. We walked into our room and immediately did not love it. Mold all over the bathroom. Old rooms. But, no rats so we didnt want to complain too much. Then I sat on the bed. I immediately wanted to cry. We had biked 30 miles that day in the heat and sun and would do a similar distance the next day. We needed to get a good nights rest. I love a firm mattress but this was like sleeping on a row of 2x4s. It was the worst mattress Ive ever sat on. I am not even convinced it was a real mattress. Absolutely horrible. We decided to try our best to talk to the front desk guy, who was very nice and tried his best to please us. He showed us 4 different rooms. All had the same torture chamber that I guess was a mattress. Finally we communicated that it was the bed that was the issue. What a relief - he took us to room 502, I sat on the bed, and audibly gasped. It was normal! If you have have have to stay here, ask for room 502 so you can at least sleep. Dont say I didnt warn you though when you still see dark mold in the bathroom and the sink moves. Its still a room in the Central Hotel, after all, just a better mattress. Ah, and the breakfast is so-so.
