A Short Stay at Cinfandel SuitesOur taxi from the airport wasn't quite sure where this motel was, but once we drove down Quezon Street for sometime, we found it on the right side of the street in the Cabancalan district. First off, the street is currently being worked on, so the traffic is TERRIBLE! There is security and some underground parking, and the lady was friendly at the front desk, although it took sometime for her to find my reservation I made. The rooms are very simple, with very little amenities: soap, glass, towel. Our bed sheets had patches on them, but it appeared like the sheets had been washed. The beds were ok for comfort. We didn't sleep well as the rooms are right next to the street, so you hear all the noises cars, trucks, motorcycles, horns honking, etc. all through the night! If you're not a sound sleeper, stay away!! Our bathroom was quant, with a working toilet and a shower with little water pressure (not sure if the water is purified or not, so we didn't take a shower or use the faucet water). Although they say they have WIFI, it doesn't really work. Just keeps loading, and loading, and loading, and... Also, you have to get the front desk to enter the PASSWORD for it, not sure why, but since it didn't work, we just stopped trying. We did venture down to get some food since it had been a while since we had last eaten. Not sure if they were ready for customers in the restaurant because at first it appeared to be a lounge, until one of the staff brought out table mats and menus. The menu is ERY simple so we got spaghetti with meatballs and spaghetti with cheese as my mother-in-law is vegetarian. This kids decided not to eat since they couldn't find something, so they just ordered a Sprite. Everyone was super friendly and helpful at Cinfandel Suites. I'm sure with the street being completed soon and maybe some new renovations to rooms and their linens, etc. I'd be willing to give this a better rating of 3 1/2 stars.

Not the best placeI did not find the staff to be very friendly. The hotel keeps two very unfriendly dogs in the lobby of the hotel and don't make guests feel very welcome there. In fact, if you want to get a drink from the lobby, they will open the door, bring you the drink and your change, if any, but don't want you coming into the lobby. The room was very small and the toilet broke twice and I had to wait days for the hotel to fix the toilet the first time and it immediately broke again. We had to use a bucket of water to flush the toilet because if you left the water on, it soaked the bathroom floor. If you get the king room, then there is an extra charge for a second towel and pillow. The location is fairly quiet but lots of traffic. Still, nice if you like to walk and see the street vendors and other stores around the area. There is a sari sari next door and they open early and you can go and have some coffee or food if you like and the staff there is extremely friendly. The hotel staff will not give you the password but instead wants to type it in for you on your computer. The security guards are very friendly and will get you a taxi or trike anytime you need.

My only choice in the cityRead a review mentioning the dogs and the lobby. Sorry that guest had that experience. I've stayed in Cinfandel dozens of times and my experience has always been pleasant. When the 2 tiny dogs are in the lobby area, the staff immediately removes them to a back room, so the guest feels welcome in the lobby, as they are. The dogs are friendly, but staff removes them immediately. Anytime I've had a maintenance issue, it is attended to immediately, or they change my room. They hand me the network password upon check in without asking for it. One time they offered to type it for me when I had a problem with a new pc. There's a table and chairs in the lobby and guests are welcome. There is a street entrance to the lobby and an interior entrance. The staff will offer to get your drink for you, assuming you want to get back to your room. But I have never been made to feel unwelcome walking in and getting my own drink. It's always clean, and the staff makes you feel like part of the family. Coupled with the reasonable price, I highly recommend the Cinfandel, in fact, I'm there again right now!

Good value and centrally located...The property is well maintained. Helpful staff. Free secure parking. Note that this is a budget hotel with basic amenities. Don't expect the Intercontinental. Other than being woken buy the neighbours "loudly" playing a soft rock radio station at 6:30 am, my stay was easy and pleasant. I'll stay there again.

Dirty roomAll the staff are friendly and accommodating. However rooms aren't cleaned enough. When I got in there were still trash from the previous guest. There were stickers on the floor, the cabinet and table. There's also candies left on the cabinet. It seems like they don't check everything. For our 2 weeks stay, they didn't even change the bed sheets. room has lots of ants and cockroaches. No kitchen utensils and equipment but has a kitchen sink. not a lot of restaurant nearby, you have to take a tricycle to go to the nearest piazza.
