  This hotel is lovely. The owners were wonderful, very helpful. Beautiful place over looking the bay.

  Lovely place over looking the bay.. Good food and lovely owners who were very friendly and helpful. I would say that the place was very well looked after and a very good place to stay place to stay. on the IOW.

  Great mini break

  COVID The hotel was great, very clean and the staff wore face shields at all times. It felt and was very safe. You were allocated a table in the restaurant and this was yours for the duration of your stay. LOCATION Good location overlooking the sea in Shanklin. Easy walk to the restaurants in the town centre, or the esplanade to find restaurants. FACILITIES Bar in the hotel lounge. Free car park. Wi-Fi is free. FOOD Breakfast was typical English breakfast cooked and brought to your table. ROOMS We had room No.9 - good size room, close to the stairs and a fire door in the corridor which would bang as guests walked through. POOL AREA Nil TRIPS Walk to Ventnor along the Coastal Path, easy to follow, about 15km there and back, or catch the bus back. Drive to Osborne House run by the English Heritage. Access to the summer home of Queen Victoria with beautiful gardens and walk down to the sea.

  A welcomed break

  My fiancé and I had a great stay at The Cliff Hall Hotel. The staff took the Covid precautions very seriously and were always cheerful and happy to help. The hotel has a lovely garden overlooking the coast line which was great to sit out in with a drink from the bar in the evenings. The breakfasts were delicious and very well organised. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

  5 Night stay

  Had a great 5 nights, owners and staff very friendly, fantastic view of the sea from room 14. Very good breakfast. Covid precautions in place but not too intrusive. Lift down to the shore is currently not working due to the virus so it is a choice of the 2 slopes or the stairs up and down, only those with walking problems should find that an issue. Nice secluded garden. Will definitely stay there again.

  welcoming and relaxing

  Stayed here for 4 nights. The owners couldn't do enough for us. The breakfast was fantastic, cooked to perfection. Our room was on the ground floor which overlooked the sea. Spent most evenings watching the ships at anchor all lit up at night. There were plenty of hand gel stations at hand and social distancing was well catered for. Really enjoyed our stay.
