  Simply Excellent

  Stayed here for 12 days & wow what a stay we had. We came looking for peace & relaxation "Got exactly that" This really is a wonderful hotel run very professionally by a family who focus on very high quality for its guests to relax in a very clean & safe environment The pool area here is 5 star as its sunbeds are too We are so eager now to return to this hotel next year...Just look at other reviews it has so many returning guest...Its so obvious why.

  Still amazing despite Covid

  This was our 4th visit to the Clio and this time took one of my daughters friends. We managed to stay between lockdown being lifted and the recent quarantine requirements for Zante. Yes things were different but not the enjoyment, service and relaxation, that was still all 10/10. Fotis and the team had bent over backwards to ensure safety, cleaning rota was changed to lessen contact, breakfast was one at a time service which isn't a big deal as it's a very small hotel, all staff wore masks and guests had to shower before entering the poo, hand sanitizer everywherel and sadly there was no Greek night. All guests seemed to respect the requirements and we had a lovely holiday. As ever the food was amazing the service and efforts of all staff were second to none and despite Alykes being a quiet resort and the hotel being small, my daughter and her friend thoroughly enjoyed it too. This is the only place we've been back to more than twice and we're already planning visit number 5.

  Chilled out break during all the madness.

  Hubby and I are repeat visitors to Alykes our usual hotel was closed but as Zante holds a special place in our hearts and it was a big anniversary. 10yrs (we were married on the island) we decided when the small travel window opened we would head out for a much needed break. We arrived at zante airport and were met and transfered by a swish minibus inclufed in the cost of our holiday. We could tell you about previous long winded coach stops in the past but that's the past and no longer a credibly option for us anymore. On arrival we were greeted safely and our friendly hosts offered us a drink and we were given a plate of fresh fruit to enjoy. Our room number 14 was perfect and on the table was a hamper of fruit an anniversary card and a bottle of wine.. A really lovely and totally unexpected surprise. The room was big with aircon and a large balcony overlooking the village of Katastari. Simply a view that always pleases. Fotis and his family went above and beyond in there tireless efforts to make us feel safe and comfortable. Breakfast this Yr is not self-service but served in a pleasant un rushed way maintaining social distancing whilst surprising us with what wason offer. Always eggs. Scrambled. Omelette (squares) or baked eggs. Often bacon. Little sausages.Croissants toast. Ham cheese yogurt apricots. Fresh fruit melon banana kiwi nectarines. Oh and baked beans.Did I mention cake and apple pie? We ate at lunch time on a number of occasions and the food was delicious and not expensive. Milkshakes were good. The pool was a great clean and we were issued with covers for our sun loungers. I liked the pool as it was very shallow at one end so it made it easier to get in and out off. The whole hotel is beautifully kept with lots of lovely planting. I appreciated the attention to detail and would totally recommend it to others. The lift!!! Yes they have a lift makes it assessable for guests with mobility issues my husband included who pulled his back whilst away.We appreciated it for the moving of our suitcases. Thankyou for a truly relaxing holiday. You hard work and dedication is evident

  Relaxing, peaceful and lovely

  This was our 1st visit to Zante, but it won't be our last. Silver, Fotis and the family made this an amazing relaxing, safe & friendly stay. From being picked up at the airport and the arrival at the hotel it was like visiting friends. Even with the measures in place to deal with Covid 19, which were absolutely spot on but not intrusive, did nothing to take away the feeling of Hotel Clio and being friendly, charming and relaxing place to stay. The dining and bar area, around the pool were all well cleaned and kept tidy,. Our room on the ground floor was lovely, with a lovely view of the garden and the mountains. Thank you Silver, Fotis and family for a lovely holiday and hope to see you soon.

  home from home

  hi again ,we have been so lucky to visit zante and stay in clio hotel again . the family hotel that has it all . the welcome so friendley they do everything possible to keep us safe. while we where their there was a ciclone very bad weather .it did a lot of damage . but we where asked to stay in our rooms to keep us safe . it was for two days .but the family kept coming up to check on us , they brought us food and drinks three meals also brought us a bottle of wine ho nice was that. every thing chang of towles bedding cleaning ect was second to none. in the resturant severd us lovely food great breakfast everyday. we had three weeks their and we have booked up for another three weeks for next year cant wait . i do hope thing are better for next year for everyone its been a difficult time for all of us.we would like to say a big thank you to clio and all therir staff for afantastic holiday and fo r looking after us . you maid our time their so special take care have a good winter see you soon . lots of love to you and your family. mr stewart and mrs lynn from bristol xxxx
