  Our group had a great time considering what the country was going through nationwide. The staff came through for us especially when our main event got cancelled at another location . We appreciate everything that was done to make our event special and memorable for the kids.

  Review for DoubleTree

  The hotel look nice on the outside, but it's SO dirty. The pool is green and people are smoking constantly with no supervision even though it's a non-smoking hotel. The room was gross with hairs all over the carpet

  Nice

  This was my first stay at this hotel (work overnight). I found it to be a very nice hotel, well laid out and spacious. The Louisiana mask rule is not well enforced, however, so be careful of your social distancing. While I could not use it the hotel bar seems to be nice with lots of room. If you want to run outside youll want to exit the parking lot to the left to get into some neighborhoods versus the way I went and found myself in traffic or on a skinny sidewalk. Overall if I were in Lafayette again for business or leisure Id stay at this hotel.

  Ok Hotel

  It's an ok Hotel . Could use a little updating. Staff was very friendly and in a good area. Try to get a room facing the river if possible. As always good DoubleTree Cookie's good local food choices also

  I tried to deal with it but....

  I checked in on Thursday night and check out Saturday morning, upon my call to reserve I enrolled in the honors program because I plan on traveling with my family and I thought it would be good for us. When I checked in the front desk were very nice and offered me cookies. They even fixed my prices. The room was nice the only problem I had was the hair LONG, NOTICEABLE HAIR left in the bathroom when I checked in. I told the front desk about it and they said housekeeping would clean it, it didnt get cleaned until the morning but I didnt complain about it. The red stains on the floor were upsetting but I didnt complain about that either. The breakfast prices were ridiculous but I didnt complain about it. When I checked out they told me what my fixed prices would be. That was the end of our trip. On Tuesday I received and email from my bank stating that my account was in the negative, when I looked over it THIS HOTEL charged me TWICE for my entire stay. When I called two $200+ charges, which in return left my account in the NEGATIVE when I called the lady at the desk told me she would transfer me to some woman but the woman wouldnt be in until 10 or 11 but I could leave a voicemail! Mind you MY ACCOUNT IS IN THE NEGATIVE !! a voicemail!?? The woman voicemail said she was out of the office b/c of COVID so I had to be transferred to KEVIN, DID THE FRONT DESK NOT KNOW THIS! when transferred to Kevin I learned he wouldnt be in till THREE Oclock!!! and I had to leave him a voicemail as well!!! Like really !!! So I call back a few hours later and the woman says let me try to get my general manager! WHY WOULDNT YOU DO THAT FIRST IF BOTH PEOPLE ARE IN !! Ridiculous and UNPROFESSIONAL!! she send me to the general manager phone AGAIN I HAVE TO LEAVE A VOICEMAIL! Ugh! The girl says he is here somewhere ! So I ask maam does he have a Walkey talkey!?? A phone !? She says no he doesnt have a walky talky AND SHE DOESNT HAVE HIS PHONE NUMBER !!!...... so in cases of emergency yall have to go look for him!? Right!? Ridiculous!! She send me back to his phone and he Answers and I call my bank w/ him on 3 way!! He says he sees that a credit was put on my card for the 2nd charge ! My bank says it was there as of yesterday !! WHY DIDNT ANYONE CALL ME AND EXPLAIN THAT THAT WOULD BE HAPPENING !!!??? SO now my account is in the negative and I have to wait a couple days until this clears !! We all hang up and AS A GUEST AND HONORS MEMEBER I was EXPECTING him to maybe call me back and apologize about the incident or SOMETHING !!!!! Nope no apology nothing !!! If this is how you all handle your business WITH HONORS MEMBERS or ANY BODY AT ALL IT IS VERY MUCH UNPROFESSIONAL!!! I wasnt going to complain about any of these things but this is where I draw the line !!!! Have some type of common courtesy to call your guest and let them know whats going on further more APOLOGIZE for such inconvenience! I will be sharing the photos as well! Thank you have a good day!
