  We Love Dover Downs!

  My mom and I have been coming to Dover Downs for years, and we love it! Now, my husband mom and I like to come. Its clean and safe and fun. There are enough slot machines to keep you fully entertained. TWO suggestions, please: Please install 2 more roulette machines. Because of Covid social distancing, the one machine you have consistently has 3 deep waiting. Even pre-covid, there were lines waiting. There are 3 black jack machines on the far wall (where the waterfall bar used to be) that are always empty. perfect spot for roulette! Also please upgrade and enhance the video poker machines. I personally prefer the 3,5 and 10 hand machines, but there are no new varieties, and have not been for a very long time. Dream Card poker, Quick Quads, Super Times Play Wheel poker, to name a few. Another dollar Wheel of Fortune machine would be great too! Lastly, please please please ease up on the starch in the rooms! The sheets sound and feel like aluminum foil and the towels are way too scratchy. Having said all of this, Dover is a great value and the staff are excellent! Very friendly and helpful. We love coming there (just got back yesterday!), and will continue to come there. Give it a try. You wont be disappointed!

  Wonderful Stay!

  We stayed on NYE and enjoyed every minute. The hotel is doing a great job navigating all the Covid Rules and Regulations. The reason for our stay was solely to watch live horse racing. It was our first time at Dover, and we had intended to stay at a cheaper option down the street. However, the convenience of the location and awesome attitude by all the staff, made this our hotel of choice for the future. The front desk did an amazing job explaining everything we needed to know for our stay. They handed out a care package with hand sanitizer and masks. The view from our room was incredible. It would be a dream come true to stay here during a Nascar Race. We were able sit indoors and view the horse races from the grandstand. All tables and chairs were kept socially distanced. We felt very safe and comfortable. We did walk through the casino area and observed all the machines separated to keep players apart. Room service was available until 10pm. We had our food in 10 minutes after we called! The next day before our departure, we had breakfast in the Garden Café. The service and the food were fantastic. I cant say enough about the staff. They really went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. We planned to return next December but had such a great time, we may be back in just a few weeks.

  Good place to stay for a night

  I felt safe in a pandemic - the hotel took all precautions with temperature taking, putting things in plastic, limiting number of people in the elevator, etc. I was grateful for that. The time to check in and check out was too long, however, and three people deep. The room itself was okay. I found the sheets to be too hard for some reason, and they crackled when I moved. The bathroom toilet roll holder was broken. The inside of the shower could have been cleaner - please check the dirt buildup in the bottom track of the sliding doors. The hotel valet service was not available due to covid. But, they did not reserve any special parking for hotel guests. We were left to find our own parking in with the regular casino parking. In our case, we had to park far, far, away, and we ended up having to cart our luggage a great distance in the cold wind. I would not return again.

  Enjoyable!!!

  The room was nice and clean. The casino had more than enough machines. Guests have plenty of space. The staff was awesome and helpful!!! Great guest services. My mother was able to rent a electric scooter to get around. Nice getaway!!

  Casino!!!

  Loved the atmosphere in this place. Some of the staff could use a refreshing in being friendly, but others were great. Love the decor in the casino. Will definitely be there again. The place was clean and I loved the idea of the clean or needs to be clean cards on the slots.
