  Rooms are beautiful and spacious. Staff very friendly and helpful, we had a challenge to check in earlier and the owner was so kind to let us arrive earlier, without additional cost. I will suggest underroof car ports for blazing sun.

  Just about perfect

  I had not been to Richards Bay for a few years and was no longer familiar with the accommodation on offer so I chose the Duck Inn blind! The booking somehow was not recorded but when I arrived I was nonetheless met and given "The Cottage" which exceeded all my expectations and requirements. A large dining/living room cum kitchen and a spacious bedroom were more than I needed but the fridge and coffee facilities were very welcome. The beed was comfortable and the bathroom fulfilled all its functional requirements. Breakfasts were adequate for the very reasonable price for the 4 days I stayed and the central location of the Duck Inn made going out for dinner or fast food no problem at all. The only beef is with the internet which was very slow at times and made staying in touch a little difficult, but this may not be the Duck Inn's fault. All in all a place to be recommended

  My room is old and furniture, especially seating in living room, was worn out, Tiles loose in living room, Air conditioner noisy and worked intermittently, Wifi (free) was down, TV did not work and I had to complete the setup. Breakfast was excellent.

  Dissatisfied

  Wasn't impressed with the host as I travelled with my colleague who is a white Afrikaner gentlemen. upon arrive the Host told my colleague that she will put him in a room on the other side and I was put in a small single room. Later that evening I went over to my colleagues room , only to find that she put him a nice big room that had a separate room which had a little kitchen net and lounge area. Sorry but they will never get my or my companies business in future. We are frequently down in Richardsbay and I work for the larges It company in Africa.

  people are very helpful and will do any thing to make your stay pleasant thy have done more than they needed to do THANKS. only the weather did not like us but the rest was fine and we will go and support them again
