  Nice Interstate Hotel for the Budget Traveler

  Fairly simple old-school motel. Room doors open to the outside. Parking can be had in front of one's own door. The room was clean. The bath was clean. The linens were fresh. It had a nice sized flat-screen TV and fairly new furniture. WiFi was strong. Staff were welcoming. Price was stellar. Plenty of shopping and restaurants all around. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and again.

  Very clean and nice

  For only 74$ total it was very clean and nice was not smelly or trashy very nice people as well if ever back here I will stay again! Newly remodeled up to date and good coffee also dog friendly with wood flooring gods a/c

  Less Than Expected

  I have stayed at many Econo Lodges in the region. I was disappointed with this one. There was some difficulty getting me checked it. On one of the days, I don't think I received any cleaning service as the bed wasn't made and towels were not added. I survived, and it wasn't terrible. I will say that it is conveniently located, and the parking lot is roomy.

  Met our needs, comfy bed, clean room

  We were in town for a family funeral so we were already raw and emotional when we got here. We stayed for a total of three nights. The staff was very helpful and professional. The remote for the tv was missing and within minutes the manager was there with a new one and made sure it was programmed correctly before leaving. The room was clean the bed was wonderful. Our room had a microwave and small refrigerator. Coffee is available at the front desk so there isn't a coffee pot in the room (which was ok with us since I planned ahead and brought teabags with us. There are plenty of places to plug in and charge your electronics. The ice machine wasn't working when I tried but I never checked again (I got ice from my sister's) Breakfast is served daily in the front office area which consisted of coffee, juice, bagels, donuts, pastries, fruit and cold cereal. Again most of our time was spent at the church or my sisters but when we were at the EconoLodge it more than meant our needs. Would we stay here again...ABSOLUTELY! To the staff thank you for making our stay as pleasant as possible.

  Dog Show

  Spent a very nice time at the Econo Lodge in Athens, Tennessee. I checked out this hotel the year before as a place to block rooms for my judges, club members, and other dog show competitors. The hotel which is pet friendly, worked with lowering the per pet fee since most show folks travel with multiple dogs. The rooms are very nice and very clean. My toilet was a little sluggish, but the maintenance man got right on it and it was fine. Everything else worked great. One problem, which the hotel has no control over is that there wasn't anywhere to walk dogs. Most of us walked them in a big field across the road from the hotel. Thankfully it was a side road that wasn't very busy. We will be back again! Thanks!
