  maravilloso!!

  es un hotel hermoso,!! nos toco una habitación ,que para llegar vas en en teleferico,y luego en un pequeño elevador. super amplias . --- lo mejor es que tienen unas vistas al lago maravillosas... me encanto !!!! una super atenciónn .. volvere!!!!!

  A Hotel, A View And a Wonderful Ride!

  How many times have you taken a funicular to reach your hotel room? It was never for me till we booked this hotel. From the station it is a 10 min drive. The staff was courteous and patient as they explained the three set of keys that formed a part of the experience of going up to the room. As we moved from one funicular to the next, we climbed higher and higher to a beautiful view of Lake Como. Eventually we reached our room. The rooms have names instead of numbers and the size of the room is adequate for a couple. The hotel itself has several scenic floors from where we can take some great social media share worthy pics. The walk to the downtown is fairly simple and it is downhill all the way; it is also close to a couple of local attractions. We spent magical two nights here and definitely will come back whenever we visit the place again.

  Room with a view

  This hotel is perched on the mountain side overlooking Lake Como. It provides a fantastic view of the lake and some of the many towns and villages on distant shores, such as Bellagio. And if you take the funicular to the rooms and terraces high above the main hotel building, it only gets better! We spent three days here and wished it could have been longer. The room we had was large, clean and sunny with two large windows overlooking the lake. A communal terrace was right outside the room, a great place to sit and drink wine while chatting to friends. Our fruends room was smaller but came with a small balcony, which also overlooked the lake. The staff were polite and helpful, with good English (compared to our Italian). They serve a basic but decent breakfast and operate a small bar in the evening. And the hotel is close to a variety of great restaurants, reasonably accessible via walking with a few hills to work off the pasta and pizza. We will definitely return to this hotel in future.

  Loved our stay!

  Our view from our lower building room was so beautiful! We took the hotel funicular to the upper patio in the evenings and enjoyed wine and snacks we picked up in town. Breakfast was incredible! Yogurt, eggs, meat, cheese, bread, cereals, pastry, juices, hot chocolate and coffee. The view from the dining area was amazing. I had some issues getting a strong wifi signal in our room and had to go to the reception/breakfast area to do my work. The hotel is about a 20 minute walk from the train station. It is a fairly steep incline at the end, but we had no problems walking it. From the hotel, you can walk up to the castle. We walked the trail to Bellano and took the train back to Varenna. Its hard to find your way in some parts, so having GPS on the trail would be helpful.

  Beautiful Views, Nice Rooms, Good Service

  Located on a hill overlooking the town of Verenna and Lake Como each room provides a beautiful view and small terrace. The rooms were of a good size, comfortable beds, and quiet. The hotel staff was very friendly and willing to provide help and information as needed. From the hotel, one can easily walk to the town center, the ferries and restaurants although you will need to climb and descend a fairly steep hill. The hotel also has a restaurant which was not yet opened during our visit.
