  Look carefully before bookiing

  Estreya Palace is 4* hotel in Varna province, Bulgaria. Personally for me these 4 stars are too much to set up your expectations from the hotel. My advice is to expect 2 stars in order not to be disappointed. We (me, my husband and 2 daughters) had a small 4-day vacancy staying in this hotel (2 double rooms) as a new place in one of our favorite Bulgarian resorts - St. St. Constantine and Helena, expecting to be in a luxury - 4* - hotel, like Sirius or Dolphin Marina, where we have been few times, expecting good cuisine (we had HB) and nice pool. That was our biggest mistake - comparing this hotel with others. Yes, we were accepted on the reception desk, but with very bad attitude from the personnel. In check-in time, when about 10 people were waiting, there was only one receptionist, nervous because of the crowd and incapable to serve all visitors. Moreover we should check-in on the reception desk of the other Estreya hotel (Estreya Residence) with no instructions how to reach it. And after all we should re-park the car from a nice shadowed place to entirely opened paid parking. Yes, we had rooms supplied with all needed, but if you expect cooling air condition, do not; if you expect room cleaning, do not; if you expect changing towels, you must say it to room makers; just the same is with room cleaning; if you expect nice shower the shower head did not stay correctly moving itself every minute; the toilet cover did not match the toilet seat; Yes, we had breakfast, but if you expect something different than cheap sausages and vegetarian cheese do not; if you want pancakes, you should wait about 30 minutes; if you want good coffee, better buy it on the lobby. Yes, we had dinner, and this was the only point I have no negative comments you can choose between enough meals, deserts and salads. I was not enough brave to try the pool too small for all these people using it in the same time. From the bank, I did not see the bottom. Every room is provided with internet, but do not expect it to be fast; better use the hot spot from you mobile phone I will not recommend high expectations from this hotel. If you have such, better visit Dolphine Marina or other hotel from Grand Hotel Varna group.

  great location

  I like the hotel because of its location and the good food. It is in the center of the sea resort so you are close to the beaches, commercial street and new wellness center. Out of season it is a great option because there are outdoor and indoor swimming pools with mineral water, the garden of the two hotels is beautiful, the waiters/waitresses in the restaurant are very kind and friendly and there are no so many people from October till May.

  Horrible

  DONT GO THERE! 2STARS HOTEL We stayed there for 4 days, no cleaning service in room, no AC, no wifi, same food every day (food was pretty bad and low cost), at 10 pm bar was closed every day( you cant buy something even with money after 10 pm), very small balcony (1mp), soda or beer machines sometimes were shut down. 2 stars hotel

  avoid at all cost

  This hotel is most certainly not a 4* hotel. During our 3 day stay the hotel run out of water twice! the first time we were informed that the hotel had a leak which is being looked into and should be up and running in couple of hours. the next day the situation repeated when I have run out of water during a shower. when my partner rang through the reception the information given was different than the day prior. we were informed that there is shortage of water in the resort which is affecting the hotel. I have asked for a bottle of water to be brought to the room so I could finish showering and brush my teeth and the receptionist responded that they do not offer bottled water and I would have to go downstairs to the bar and purchase it. when I asked to speak to a manager the receptionist hang up on me. I went downstairs to speak to them and file a complaint with a manager only to be told that the manager is not available during the weekend. no formal process of lodging a complaint was available. For a 4* hotel to not have running water or even a bottle of water as a replacement is a disgrace. Other than that, the minibar was empty, no water in the room- which is standard even in 3* hotels, shampoo and soap was minimal and not restocked. Had to ask for fresh towels as they were not being changed daily. would never go back to this hotel!!! complete nightmare and lack of cooperation

  This hotel hardly deserves two stars

  1. The air conditioner was extremely weak and we feel like in a furnice. There are no window screens and the mosquitoes are in, when the windows are open. 2. The food is lacking varieties. Old, often recycled products, but the soups are good. Be careful with fruits and veggies - rotten and sometimes dirty. The drinks, offered for dinner, are not drinkable - especially sour vines and bad beer. 4. No WI-FI in the rooms. In the lobby one might be lucky to get some internet connection. 5. Lukewarm chlorinated mineral water indoor and cold water pools outdoor. Nice garden and shady areas. 6. Carpets are old and moldy. Can irritate asthma and allergy suffering. 7. Cleaning is good but the receptionists are often rude. 8. Limited and broken fitness equipment and very limited hours ( 9am to 5 pm) for the indoor pool.
