  Thoroughly Disappointing Hotel

  My Dad booked this hotel, having stayed here last year (2019), for our family ski trip. He had raved about the rooms, the quality of the restaurant and the excellent staff. The service in the restaurant was extremely poor, our server shouted at us you want appetiser rather than asking or explaining what they were. If one person responded he took that as a blanket response for all. I kept asking for lactose free meals only to be ignored, forgotten or just be given the wrong order. We were not greeted on arrival and told to just sit where you sat last time by the Maitred when there was a different family name on the table. The room is another story, for the price we paid you would expect excellence but there were lights hanging from the fittings, some did not work and there were holes in the walls around the light switches. The room was worn and in desperate need of updating. The chair in the room broke when I sat on it and whenever we drew the curtains they came off the curtain rail. (See pictures - this is room 201) My Dads room was upgraded but had missing tiles in the bathroom - they clearly do not care about basic maintenance. The rooms were incredibly hot with the only way to cool them down being to open the windows. I would advise against the rooms at the front of the hotel however because the bars are noisy so sleeping can be difficult - we were regularly woken up until 3am by rowdy patrons. The one thing I can say is that the bar man was excellent and the room angels were so lovely, they always said hello and have a good day and were full of smiles. I would not come back to this hotel.

  Ski holiday

  Excellent hotel for skiers. Top service in the restaurant, friendly bartender, very helpful reseption. Many special thanks to sauna master Erik! Room was very nice with a balcony and caring 'room angels'. You all made our holiday super We will surely come back. Bis bald team evamoments

  Disappointing

  We'd been to this hotel previously. It has many good features. This year we were charged for drinking tap water "because we have to cover our costs". I've never been charged for drinking tap water in a hotel before - anywhere in the world before. Schäbig We will return to Saalbach but not to this hotel.

  Great ski hotel in good location spoilt by rude Maitred.

  Third time in Saalbach both previous stays in Das Neuhaus but first time in Eva Village. Hotel is in a good location, our suite was beautiful and the food was good and plentiful. The staff were friendly and helpful - serving staff, room angels and the lovely barman. Half way through our week we were moved from our dining location without any explanation to another area of the restaurant closer to the bar and thats when the entire atmosphere and positive vibes changed. We were met by a very rude Maitred Stephan, who didnt introduce himself, didnt ask how we were, abruptly asked what we wanted for main course before we had a chance to see the menu. Then he asked me if I was angry with him? The whole atmosphere changed and we felt rushed and uncomfortable for the last three days of our holiday. We were served very reluctantly, had to repeatedly ask to have our drinks poured etc . The hotel was let down by this rude man who acted like he owned the place it was obvious that he had tables which got preferential treatment. Customers deserve better and to be treated with respect, we are after all paying your wages. We will not be back.

  The heart of Saalbach

  A remarkable hotel - the staff was super nice and very serviceminded, the rooms were big and clean and the location was perfect. Not to forget the food, the breakfast buffet was amazing - always fresh fruits, cheeses and bread. The dinner was also brilliant - and very good wines and drinks at the bar. Overall we had a great stay here, and will definitly stay here for our next trip to Saalbach.
