  Another wonderful stay

  Paul and Rachel at Foxghyll are the most wonderful hosts. Staying here is just magical, calm and peaceful. Breakfasts are huge and tasty and bedrooms are tasteful and very cosy. We would not stay anywhere else. We've stayed at Foxghyll many times and many times to come hopefully. Thank you Paul and Rachel. Xx

  Great visit

  My wife and I had a great stay at Foxghyll! Great location with a lovely walk into Ambleside. The 4 poster room was modern, clean and comfortable what more could you ask for after a day out walking. Thanks to Paul and Rachel, you're awesome hosts and a cook a mean breakfast.

  Beautiful Guest House

  This is a beautiful guest house - stunning interior, fantastic attention to detail, luxurious king size bed and high quality bed linen and towelling. Breakfast was delicious and a great variety to choose from. Porridge topped with juice fresh blueberries and raspberries was delicious! The rooms were spotless... quiet, comfortable , great shower... my praise could go on and on My only advice to single female travellers is that it is not suitable to walk back alone from Ambleside in the dark as there is absolutely no street lighting and although the guest house supplied me with a torch I would not recommend this alone. Either come home before dark, drive, or get a taxi. Its only a short distance away Thank you Rachel and Paul for looking after us... x

  Fantastic country house

  Just returned from a 3 night stay, fantastic b&b in a secluded location with easy access to the town and the countryside. Paul and Rachel really friendly great team. Lovely 20 min walk into ambleside very scenic. Breakfast was the best by far(especially the sausage)!! We will definitely be returning. Big shout out to Barry & Roy.

  Weekend trip

  This was one of the best weekend holiday we had in last few years. Both Paul and Rachel were caring and served yummy breakfast. Property was at deep silent place with scenic beauty all across.... river, farms, hills, bio diversity, etc. Recommended to all for a short break.
