  Terrible Hotel

  Our experience at this hotel was terrible, the suite we checked into was filthy. The were splatter all over the dresser and TV and the back of the door was cover with fingerprints. The furnishings in the room are tattered and dirty. We paid extra to have a view, but window were so dirty we could not enjoy the view. The elevator has stuff spilled down the walls. They moved us to a smaller room and said the would make an adjustment to our bill. In this room the toilet started leaking onto the floor which we reported. At dinner in the less than elegantly dining room, (photos on their website are a total misrepresentation) we tried ordering two different wines and they didnt have either one, but they tried to sell us more expensive wines. When we checked out we asked the clerk about the adjustment for our room. She said she knew nothing about the adjustment and was not authorized to make any adjustments. I asked for the name of the manager that was on duty the night before and she was not will to share any information about the management. I later contacted them about the adjustment and they were not willing to give any credit to our bill. I will never stay at this hotel again or recommend it to anyone.

  fantastic

  Baker City was locked down due to COVID so food options were limited, tours were non existent. The Geiser although made up for this in an outstanding way. We had a deluxe king room that was spacious and the bed was flat out fantastic. The desk service was very nice. We got room service and this was outstanding. Due to the shutdown in town the DVD player by the Tv was nice and so was the wallboard with over 1000 DVDs to play. Hey I am not kidding, they have about everything. WHEN you go ask about the history of the hotel and you will be blown away. This has to be one of the best nights ever. Didn't see the ghosts but then my snoring probably drove them away.

  Unexpectedly memorable on a long drive

  My husband and I (and our dog) were driving from Phoenix to Seattle and a friend recommended that we stay a night here. Wow! We absolutely loved it and while I didn't expect to form memories on this drive, this particular hotel and town will remain a fond, cosy memory for years to come, and my husband is already trying to conspire ways to drive that way again. The hotel has so much character - gorgeous, historic building, super friendly staff, a delicious old style restaurant and a quaint and delightful gift shop that makes for some great browsing/souvenirs. Super COVID-safe, all staff and guests were masked and indoor dining closed - a nice change after nerve-wracking encounters in Utah and Arizona. The rooms are so cosy and comfortable, with a lot of historical ambience - a few slight maintenance issues given the old building (e.g. toilet running), but that is also the price you pay for the historic building. Definitely recommend if you are passing through this part of the world!

  Really nice authentic old time hotel

  This is my first time staying here. Maybe 10 years ago I had dinner here and looked around the place. At the time I already had a room at another place or I would have stayed then. Very nicely done furnishings and super clean!

  Charming and Romantic

  Staying at the Geiser Grand Hotel is a unique experience. The hotel is charming and romantic, the rooms are spacious and beautiful, and the room-service is wonderful. If you want breakfast in bed, this is the place to do it! My husband and I have stayed here several times and it never disappoints.
