  Fabulous stay!

  My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel from 16-23 March through Crystal Ski and thoroughly enjoyed it. It took about 2 hours to get to the resort from Verona airport on a small minibus transfer. The hotel itself is located in a quiet area outside of the main Madonna Di Campiglio resort, a 5 minute walk (in ski boots) to the Groste gondola station or the chair lift opposite (you can ski back to the hotel from the slopes as well) and is a downhill 20 minutes walk to the main town. The hotel run a shuttle for a few hours in the morning and afternoon into early evening to run guests to the lifts in the town and back to the hotel every 30 minutes, which was handy as we didnt fancy the uphill walk back to the hotel! Alternatively ski bus 1 takes you to the Groste gondola from the town (there are many ski bus stops) and bus 2 takes you from the Groste gondola into town and is included in your lift pass. The hotel itself is very nice, an old grand Italian hotel with large reception and bar areas, with beautiful views over the slopes and mountain from the restaurant, rooms and swimming pool. The free WiFi worked great throughout the hotel and in the room, and I particularly liked the afternoon tea that was served in the bar on occasions! We stayed in a room on the first floor in the new wing, which was huge and I have never seen so much storage in a hotel room before - it had a walk in wardrobe!! Our room faced the slopes which was lovely to wake up to, it had a huge bed, seating area, lots of draws (and the walk in wardrobe), balcony, ample size bathroom with a small bath and free toiletries and the room had a free safe. There isnt any tea and coffee making facilities, so perhaps bring a travel kettle! The walls are rather thin, so if youre a light sleeper, bring some earplugs! We had half board during our stay and were given a set table to dine at throughout the week, which had lovely views of the slopes! Breakfast was great, lots of continental options, smoothie making machine, a small hot food area serving sausages, eggs and vegetables, they also had a good gluten free section. The evening meals were a bit hit and miss, you certainly wont go hungry by any means, but some meals were better than others. There was a great antipasti buffet selection with a couple of soup options, then you chose from 2 pasta dishes and 2-3 main dishes, followed by a buffet style desert (they did a chocolate fountain one evening!) Drinks werent too expensive, 4 for a small glass of wine, 3 for a coke, 5 for a large beer, ask for a jug of tap water for the table as this is free rather than paying for bottled water. Bottles of wine started from 15 and can be carried over to the next night if you dont drink it all. We paid to use the spa and pool for the week at a cost of 60 per person (30 for just the pool) you can hire robes for 10 and caps for the pool for 2.50 or you can bring your own, remember your flip flops as well - they will give you towels at the spa reception. The pool was lovely, great view over the slopes, it was a nice temperature and had lots of jets massage areas, plus sun loungers. The spa area was in a separate room and was brilliant, it had a jacuzzi, 2 saunas, steam room, experience showers, plunge pool and a relaxation room with herbal tea and water. We had a back and legs sports massage whilst we were there costing 40 euros for 30 minutes and it was fabulous, highly recommend! Overall we had a wonderful stay at this hotel, it had everything we wanted plus a great view, we would highly recommend it if youre looking for a hotel slightly out of the main resort.

  Nice accomodation and dining room. Pity to charge for all water

  Average 4 star hotel . Dining room good except for poor coffee out of thermal jugs and charge for all water with dinner. Dining room crowded a lot of the time and our allocated table was repeatedly changed.Walk about 200 metres to good ski area .Can ski back very near the hotel.

  BRILLIANT

  Fantastic place to stay if you SKI, right on the slopes, walk to the car park and put your skis on, ski hire shop underneath the hotel, the hotel is great , the staff are friendly and smiling very polite, the food is on another level FANTASTICO, the window in the resturant looks onto the piste and drag BLISS, sunny every day and the slopes were immaculate, they runs for everyone, easy blues from the top of the mountain and serious blacks ,the Mens Slalom was on ,Brilliant

  Great ski stay

  Had a great weeks stay here. Lovely room , great service and superb food at both breakfast and dinner. Perfect location with great access to the slopes. Enjoyed the use of the pool in the spa at the end of the day. Thanks for looking after us.

  very indicative for the hotel

  We had booked 5 days ski vacation in TH Madonna di Campiglo starting 28 February. All was booked and paid well in advance. As the situation with COVID-19 in North Italy escalated the days before our arrival, we contacted the hotel and asked them if we can find a solution which suits both parties. Yes, our booking was not refundable, but the situation was not normal either. Therefore we suggested to move our booking for the next year. We were ever ready to absorbe a fee for that. Guess what the hotel said no and stop replying to our emails. Just to give an example of the oposite attitude. We had also booked private intsructor with a ski school Campo Carlo Magno, again all paid in advance - no problem at all there - we received a voucher confirming that the amount can be used for next year. We all speak a lot about solidarity, humanity, social responsiblity etc in business - the fact that the hotel refused to find a solution where both they and us share the cost in this extrordinary circumstances is indicative of their values. Very very sad.
