  Ubicación preciosa, pero no es suficiente para lo que cuesta

  Nos alojamos allí varios días a principios de agosto de 2006 con mi esposa y mis hijos. Teníamos una habitación grande con vistas al mar y una más pequeña que daba a la parte de atrás (con vistas al bosque), sin balcón. El paisaje y la ubicación son magníficos, como también lo son bahía y la playa que está al lado de la residencia. El personal era amable y el hotel estaba bien cuidado, pero no era realmente lujoso por el precio que se paga, comparado con muchas otras fincas en las que me he alojado en Francia y otros países europeos. De ahí que esté de acuerdo con la afirmación de que no es suficiente para lo que cuesta. Como nos alojábamos en régimen de media pensión, desayunábamos y comíamos cada día en el hotel. El desayuno estaba riquísimo, y la cena era pura cocina francesa, y se podía escoger entre dos opciones para el entrante y el plato principal. Si no os encanta el pescado, sufriréis bastante, ya que dos o tres de las cuatro opciones del menú son pescado o marisco. Puede que me vuelva a alojar aquí la próxima vez o quizás pruebe la Casa Del Mar.... que está relativamente más cerca de algunas de las playas más hermosas que he visto en todo el Mediterráneo, especialmente Santa Giulia. Parte del placer (ya que el hotel está en medio de un bosque) consiste en conducir hasta diferentes playas o ciudades/pueblos, por lo es indispensable un coche. El aeropuerto más cercano sería el de Figari, a cuarenta minutos en coche del hotel.

  No es suficiente para lo que cuesta

  Nos alojamos en el Cala Rossa en la última parte de nuestra luna de miel en Córcega, dos noches durante la primera semana de mayo. Comenzaré con los puntos positivos: los aparcacoches y las señoritas de la recepción son cálidos y corteses. Los jardines están bien cuidados y la encantadora playa privada era tranquila y estaba bien atendida por el amable personal. El personal sabía que estábamos de luna de miel, y nos enviaron champán y fruta a nuestra habitación cuando llegamos. Ahora los puntos negativos: nuestra habitación (una estándar) era justo eso, muy estándar y no tan bien arreglada como se esperaría por el precio. El servicio del restaurante parecía un poco cansado y frío. La comida era buena, aunque no increíble, y un poco falta de inspiración, como si el chef descansara en glorias pasadas. No hay piscina exterior. Llamé al servicio de limpieza para pedir más loción corporal y nunca lo trajeron. Nos sentimos un poco desalentados y timados cuando pagamos y nos fuimos. Nos encantó la zona, pero, por lo que cuesta, la próxima vez nos alojaremos en la Casa del Mar.

  Hotel con excelente servicio y gastronomía, cerca de Bonifacio uno de los pueblos más bonitos y con mayor encanto de Córcega Hotel de la cadena Relais Châteaux que cumple perfectamente con sus requisitos

  Fantastic hotel with amazing views

  This is a fantastic hotel with amazing views and a beautiful private beach. Excellent professional staff. The beach bar is great serving drinks and snacks with a great friendly professional young barman. The style is quirky and elegant with some great touches like a sofa on the jetty and amazing night time lighting. Lots to see and do. Highly recommend this great hotel in a beautiful part of Corsica.

  This hotel has stolen my heart

  We stayed from 13 till 17 September with 2 adults and our 18 year old son and we could have easily spend an extra week at this wonderful hotel. Location: The hotel is situated in an unspoiled bay at about 20 minutes drive from Porto Vecchio. It blends in with the environment in a stunning way. Check in: From the very first contact you feel that it will be an amazing stay. The stay started with a tour of the hotel and this was immediately a pleasant introduction. There is a warm and homely atmosphere around the entire place and everyone made us feel at home right away. Rooms: We did stay in a beautiful suite with huge terrace on the ground floor. Excellent bedding, 2 bathrooms and a very comfortable dressing. Perfect house keeping and turn around service. Grounds: Lots of space in the hotel with an enormous amount of lush vegetation, large trees and everything perfectly maintained. A lot of natural materials have been used and this creates a very soothing atmosphere. Beach/pool There is no outside swimming pool at Cala Rossa and before arrival, this was one of the points that made me hesitate about booking the hotel. How wrong was I. There is a huge bathing area in the sea (la grande bleue as they call it) lined with nets to stop the jellyfish and the beach is cleaned every day. Stairs have been made so that you can step directly from the sea to the stairs. It is very pleasant that you don't have to go through the sand to leave the sea. The absolute highlight of luxury are the hot showers to rinse off the salty water. There are 2 stand up paddle boards, a kano and a pedalo free for use. A special mention for the beach boys who have an eye for detail, are always ready to help and are incredibly friendly. No need to ask for anything. They know you prefer to sit in the shade and make sure, the umbrellas are moved to try and get as much shade as possible all day long. Excellent bar service as well at the beach area. Breakfast: Nice buffet style breakfast with excellent products and with outside sitting area. We like to have an early breakfast and we arrived mostly shortly after opening time. Service at that time was sometimes a bit slow but friendly as always. One day, we had to wait for about 30 minutes to get an omelette and in stead of saying nothing, the lady said: sorry for the wait but they are made with love. I can assure you, this was one of the best omelettes we ever had. The way staff handle things makes all the difference in the world. Parking: Free and easy accessible parking area in front of the hotel. Restaurants and bars: At lunchtime there are many people from outside the hotel who come to enjoy an extensive lunch. What was a bit strange, is they put up a table exactly where the stairs from the sea are so you end up coming out of the sea in bathing suit in the middle of the restaurant. It did not really bother me personally but I can imagine some people can find this awkward. Another downside is they do not really have a light lunch option with sandwiches or snacks for hotel guests. The bar service is excellent all day and evening. In the evening the lunch restaurant is turned into a bar area and we loved sitting there with a cocktail with the noise in sights of the sea. Really a perfect way to end the days. One evening they had 2 people playing music and singing and this was so nice. So we ended our holidays in Corsica in the Calla Rossa hotel and I cannot imagine a more perfect end for the holidays and we hope to return to this hotel one day.
