  Good stay, but this is a Hampton?

  I had just stayed one quick night while traveling to the Detroit area. While the hotel and stay were good, I will say that I was a bit underwhelmed for my expectations of it being a Hampton Inn. The room was large and clean, but the bathroom seemed to be a bit outdated. There was no fridge in the room and the handheld part of the shower had a broken stand so it was simply hanging from the rail. TV in room was also small for today's standards. Another surprise was that there was nothing offered for breakfast. So this is the COVID era, OK, but I've stayed with other hotels that seemed for formulate some sort of remedy..? AC worked great, bed was comfortable, decent amount of TV channel, internet worked well, staff was friendly. I would stay again, just not certain it is up to the Hampton standard...or that I can say that I received a "great value" for my money paid.

  Need to raise the bar

  Needed a place to stay before dropping son off at WMU. As far as location goes, it is close to campus and a few eateries, so that worked well for us. When I checked in that night, the woman at the front desk wasn't all that welcoming. The room was a good size, clean, with comfortable beds. Due to COVID-19, the pool and jacuzzi were not open. I sure wish I knew this ahead of time! In fact the rate they charged me should have been $20-$30 cheaper due to that fact. Also, there is no breakfast buffet, just a grab and go. I understand why, so can't complain too much there. At least they are trying. So Hampton, please communicate more about what facilities are/aren't working, as well as amenities. and adjust price accordingly. I probably will give you one last shot when I have to be back out that way.

  Go some where else

  Don't waste time booking a suite here , because. They call them studio- but charge for a suite still during Covid-19 I understand things are limited, but had the worst 15 hours I ever had at a hotel/ motel only had one set of towels, which at the time didn't matter much for me since it was just myself , but after check out was charged additional amount , also for cleaning service and a ice bucket which I don't even remember seeing " I know I never used. During check out , I was told would get a cold breakfast bag ( I thought bottle of juice or milk , small box of cereal or donuts ). Once I receive this bag - it was a bottle of water and a package of crackers-

  Horrible rude employees! The whole second floor smells like an ashtray! The hallway carpet is filthy! They won't tell the loud party goers to be quiet but won't allow children to be children! Aaaààaaàfhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhjhhjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjj

  Great service, but needs renovations

  I was warmly welcomed when I stepped into the registration area. I had already registered through the app, so I just needed my key card. When wa'slking into the room, it smelled clean and recently scrubbed. That is a good thing during this time. The beds and linens were clean and crisp. The biggest issue I had was with the ceiling over the shower. It was cracked and actually peeling off! For a Hampton it was in need of some tender loving care and some major renovations. Breakfast was as good as it can be at this time. Not as many options as there used to be, but that's not the hotel's problem. Every one of the employees I interacted with were pleasant and friendly.
