  Bien pero...

  Somos una pareja ,Estábamos haciendo escala en Hong Kong de 15 horas y decidimos reservar este hotel ya que nos recogían en el aeropuerto así no perdíamos tanto tiempo . Después de mandarles dos correos , nos contestan en segundo ... Que no tienen recogida en el aeropuerto ... Nose si por error de ellos o de booking pero en la recepción nos dicen que habría que pagar el transfer si queremos... Menos mal que cogimos un metro para salir del aeropuerto 100$ HK Y 6$ HK con el tren para llegar a la parada Mei foo station , una vez sales caminas para la derecha unos 10 mints caminando para llegar al hotel , lo peor son las escaleras y que está muy escondido !!!!!!! La habitación limpia y cómoda la verdad ...

  A good option outside central HK

  A rather quirky (in a good way) place to stay in HK. The location isnt central but the nearby MTR whisks you into town very quickly. The hotel is a set of old buildings which have been converted to a good class of hotel rooms. It seemed the best value place in all of HK to stay if you want space rather than the usual shoebox of a room. Be warned that its atop a hill and whilst public transport and lifts get you there with little effort, the location might not be suitable for all.

  Nice location but....

  First the walls are thin or hollow. Great location and clean but at 3am we did not need to hear next door conversations. No idea what they were doing to be up so late but every night or rather morning the neighbours would turn up and spend nearly an hour talking We really did have to use ear-plugs every night! Also as noted by other people the windows do NOT open. The air conditioning is good but each day when we returned to the room we could smell right away the stale air. Our room was on the second floor but for some reason the window catch has a little brass screw stopping you from open the window. So yes cheap, clean, and good location near the MTR but bring Ear-plugs and a tank of fresh air.

  Extremely inaccessible - BEWARE

  Most inconvenient location possible. Along a highway on a steep incline. There is no car access into the facility, so you have to be dropped off at the gate. Then its a climb up multiple flights of stairs akin to climbing Mount Everest. Bring oxygen and ropes, but definitely dont bring luggage. This compound is built on the side of a steep mountain. There are two elevators which only go up two floors. In between the elevators is a hike up steep concrete paths and multiple stairs. Whats the point of those elevators anyway. Its probably 10 floors between the top and bottom and the elevators only cover 2 of those floors. Once you hike to the top elevator you have to climb another five flights of stairs to get to reception. I stopped counting at 70 steps. When I got to reception I had to sit down because I thought I was having a heart attack. I had two pieces of luggage and I was struggling, but I REALLY felt bad for the mother with her two young children who had three large suitcases who had to haul all of that up. She was understandably upset. I couldnt blame her. Its not like there is much at the bottom of the mountain. The foot of the mountain is a large intersection of major highways and a huge bus depot. Its very difficult to walk to/from either Lai chi kok station or mei foo.

  Accessible

  Yes it is on a hill but there is a motor access, I was dropped off to the door by Uber. Entrance is 50m past the Jao Tsung car park right hand side. If you enter by the Jao Tsung car park (which is the way to the MTR, it is a bit of a climb. But There are two lifts and then 20 steps. The first floor rooms also have steps and no lift. Beautiful chilled place, linked to the historical academy. Not like a normal hotel but lovely grounds and sitting areas in the sun. Ore like a good uni residence. Bird song and calm. Eating options on site are limited ( tea and coffee shops till 6pm, Joy restaurant is a. It pricy) but are limitless at Mei Foo and Lao Chi Kok. More a local than a tourist neighborhood. Supermarkets and banks also. MTR gives you access to everywhere, 6 stops to downtown, hkd 15 fare, very easy to use. Lovely park Lingham gardens at Mei Foo. If you want somewhere different, with nice staff and away from the tourist bustle, and you can climb a set of steps, then give it a try.
