  Comfort Hotel in Banda Aceh but disagree if they claimed 5 star.

  Hermes Palace Hotel Banda Aceh was the most comfortable hotel in Banda Aceh that Ive ever book in my 5 trip to Banda Aceh this year. This hotel have a nice bed and various tv channel that not delivered by other hotel such as Kyriad Hotel. But Ive surprised if they claim this hotel as 5 star hotel. Breakfast and its swiming pool didnt represent it.

  grand but impersonal

  NIce building, fair breakfast but ordinary service. Staff hang off and do not appear interested in their work. The pillows on the beds were all gigantic and the hot water was warm at best. The front office staff are not very helpful. The free bicycles are very good. The breakfast was good but there were no stand-out dishes. The breakfast restaurant is spacious and airy. I was not told of any airport taxi services - it might be a good idea to check this as taxiing in this town is far from easy.

  Too many roaches, no hot water

  I feel bad leaving bad reviews for places where the staff are really kind. Also the bed was really comfortable. But that's about it for the pluses here. No hot water at all, at any point. Even after I called for someone to fix the hot water, they came in and told me it was hot. It was not even lukewarm. I just let it go because clearly they either cannot or are not willing to resolve this problem, no matter how many people complain about it. Also there were roaches everywhere in the bathroom. Absolutely disgusting. The breakfast food is a great variety but to me it feels like they recycle a lot of the food, judging by how stale some things are. For example, the tater tots (which I think are called potato poms here) were super old tasting, even after they put out a fresh batch, as if they had just heated up old ones that hadn't been eaten a few days ago. I feel the same for the pastries, etc. I dont understand how this place is so expensive. It's really terrible.

  Super hotel

  This s was my second stay. I like the new renovation of the room . The breakfast selection s really impressive , one of the best i ve ever seen. The pool s great but close too ealry we wanted to swim after 9pm but were told not to do ..overall the staff s professional n friendly..like it ..

  Good hotel, great service

  We stay in the hotel for business and really enjoy our experience. After renovation the room give a great luxury feeling. The breakfast buffet is fantastic. The swimming pool is perfect with a terrace to relax after work. We ll come back as we like very much this hotel.
