  Lost in translation

  With a night to spare on my 3 week holiday in China I decided to stay in Wuhan for the night and fly to Shanghai directly from there the next morning. As a Hilton Diamond member, I settled on the Riverside Hilton due to its relative proximity to both the major sights of Wuhan and the airport. I was contacted in advance and emailed back to let the hotel know Id be there around lunchtime and the receptionist was kind enough to let me check in at 12.30pm. The receptionist arranged a 5.30am taxi and take away breakfast given my early departure. I was upgraded from my king room to a high floor river view room which was spacious, well designed, modern and complete with all the conveniences that you would expect. Wuhan lights up at night and you can expect fine views out over the Yangtze River and the red crane tower looking particularly stunning. The area around the hotel appeared quite residential to me and aside from a few convenience stores, a pharmacy and a coffee shop, I didnt notice much else in the way activity nearby. Lianjiang Rd metro is about a 5-6 minute walk, and the trip to Wuhan station was around 25 minutes. As I had a head cold I decided to stay in the hotel for the afternoon and rest, a few hours after check in I received a call from the same receptionist enquiring if I left what I understood to be glasses when I arrived at the front desk, I checked and advised that no I had both my glasses and I did not and didnt think any further of it. The next morning I realised that my gloves on the other hand had been left at the desk I did enquire after these on check out and was advised they were not there. There was no mention of my take away breakfast but likely this got forgotten in the mix up. An email or two after departure confirmed the gloves were indeed there and at the concierge desk, and they were mailed to me same day. In the evening I did briefly pop into the 23rd floor executive lounge which was pleasant enough and had a limited array of hot foods and selections of fruits, cheese, cakes and small snacks. A selection of beer and wine was included. Whilst in the lounge a small earthquake hit about 11km away which was slightly unnerving, with all the guests looking decidedly worried. Luckily there were no aftershocks! Taxi to the airport at 5.30am in the morning was around 50 minutes and 150RMB plus 15 RMB in tolls. A few language issues aside, both overall service (recovery) and quality of hotel make the Riverside a good choice in Wuhan.

  What a Wonderful hospitality service

  This is not the first time I visit Hilton Wuhan Riverside, and this time I wanna give a compliment to business lounge staff Nicole. She provides a warm, professional and unbelievable service this time I come, shes knowledge makes me appreciate! She is the best star.

  Lily and Albee really know what the best service is. They upgraded the room for both me and my colleague. And not only that, they prepared delicious afternoon tea set and dinner for us. Really lucky to have chosen this hotel.

  Fabulous stay in Wuhan

  The hotel is in the Hanyang District, less than 1 KM from metro stations and near to Wuhan Yangtze River Bridge andYingwuzhou Yangtze River Bridge, which makes it easy to access while providing great river view of Yangtze, you could go to the Hanyang Yangtze River beach and start a river cruise. Besides the great location the hotel staffs provide professional and heartwarming services, I would like to express my special thanks to Edda the elegant client service manager, who helped me a lot beyond my expectations, not only she provided normal upgrading and welcome services, but also offered one-to-one follow up and support throughout my stay, constantly checking up my requirement and satisfaction of the services, even helped my friend who I recommended to stay here to get a better room type as he wishes. The hotel offers good facilities and services even in the quarantine time. They had exhaustive disinfectation for both rooms and public areas, providing masks and alcoholic hand sanitizer. They also offer executive benefits in the lobby bar which is better than the experience I had in another hotel that offer executive member in-room selected services. Ive heard that the swimming pool in this hotel was great and artistic, but did not have chance to experience that this time since I did not take with swim wears, hope I could stay here again and I would definitely recommend to others (which Ive done in this very first stay).

  Excellent Experience in Excellent Hotel

  I stayed at Hilton Riverside during the whole December of 2020 and it was my 4th visit and the longest one. I am sure this hotel is one of the best hotel in Wuhan because hospitality could be seen everywhere. Special thanks to 3 staffs: 1) Daniela Liu, Customer Relationship Manager. Thank you for arranging our Xmas gift-delivering. I knew it was an extra request but you accepted it without hesitation . It was your help that made our team's holiday surprise come true. 2) Mr. Peng from Concierge, who helped me deliver the gifts to my colleagues. From you, I saw an excellent concierge staff should be. 3) Yaoting Lu from business lounge. You knew what the best service was and put it in to practice. My lucky to stay in this hotel and look forward to visiting again.
