  Nice hotel

  My family went here to look at a boat and this hotel was a good one. It has a heated outdoor pool and its also close to the airport so we took an Uber to the hotel and it took about a minute or two. Thats what makes it a good hotel

  Stayed twice a year apart but the hotel still seemed brand-new both times

  Stayed here in January 2019 and January 2020. Hotel was only a few months old the first time but still seemed brand-new a year later. Bright and clean appearance throughout. Everything worked well in the rooms. Even had electrically-activated blackout shades on room windows. Airport-style baggage carts for moving luggage to room were very convenient and easy to use. Public bathroom on ground floor was very clean. Conveniently located off of I-75 with McDonald's, Burger King, Pizza Hut and Walmart Supercenter nearby.

  Top Notch Experience!

  No reason to be wordy in this review!! Fantastic hotel!! Convenient, EXTREMELY CLEAN, comfortable, great beds and linens, awesome bathroom with supplies .... We did leave early, so didn't have a chance to try breakfast...but it did smell good!! We were very pleased with experience!! WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK!!!!!

  Stay somewhere else

  This was by far one of the worst stays I have ever had at an IHG property. First all all, I am a platinum elite member and was not welcomed or offered points upon check in. After waiting so long to travel due to covid, we were so excited to be able to come back to FL. We have stayed at this property before and it was good. This time was different. Upon check in there was no bedding for the pull out bed. We were told it was a busy day and to check back tomorrow. What?!? Should we have to buy our own bedding for a room we are paying for? She told us it would be ready the next day. We had to sleep with nothing but a sheet. I was so mad. When we stopped the next day we were yelled at by a female desk attendant who had no mask on. She laughed and said I dont know who told you that, we dont have any. She then proceeded to argue with me and then went to grab us some towels and just happened to find a blanket for us.  On day 3 of our stay I asked if housekeeping could please pick up our trash and towels. We were told they would. When we got back, no one had done either. I took our trash and towels down to the front desk and the same lady with no mask said well you know we have limited housekeeping right? Yes I am aware but I asked and was told they would be picked up. No apology from her, she went and got a bin and said put it in there. I asked to talk to a manager and was told she wouldnt be in today. Day 4, its almost 6 am. There are people leaving on flights and guys waiting to go to work and the coffee is ice cold. How hard would it be to have hot coffee ready at this time?  (Also the coffee maker in our room didnt work) I went back down at 635 and still no coffee, breakfast area not open. Finally opened at 6:45. Also out of toilet paper and the guy at the front desk took 10 minutes to come out of the back room. Wouldnt you normally man the desk at this time for check out? A few additional notes: There is a guy that must live in the hotel and its disturbing. He sits there with his door open all the time and it looks like a hoarder lives there and the smell is bad. Theres heavy semi truck traffic in and out here. The mask policy also must not apply to the staff because every time we went down no one was wearing one unless a customer walked up to them. I will say the staff manning the breakfast area were very polite but thats the only positive thing I can say.

  Great place with a great manager.

  First of all, do not fly to Punta Gorda. Our flight arrived at 10:45 to find people everywhere looking for transportation (no taxis or rental cars were available). The manager of this Holiday Inn realized we were stranded and came to pick us up herself. THANK YOU! The rooms were very clean and nice.
