  Cheap, simple, clean and very warm service

  I stayed here for two days at a meeting. This is not JW Marriott - but it's honest, clean, and there's plenty of typical Danish food. Furthermore the service you receive is genuine. The place is owned and run by a middle aged couple - and their teenage son. All three were very flexible, nice, and attentive to our needs, and everybody really enjoyed the two days. Yes: The beds are small, tv even smaller, but wifi is free end fast, and the price is very reasonable. Would definitely use the place again.

  Excellent homemade food in lovely surrondings.

  The owner and his family makes you feel very velcome. The rooms is nice and not one loke alike. They all are very charming with lovely old furniture. The best thow is the food. God homemade and some of it is growned outside in the garden. Outside you can take a walk and there is not long way to the sea. I hope to get a chance to visit Højgaarden again.

  Idyllic Setting with great rooms and Service

  This is a bit off the beaten path, but its in a lovely country-side setting and well worth the extra 10 minutes to get here. We stayed one night. The beds were comfy with ironed bedding and the shower was big. The staff is amazingly kind and friendly. The breakfast is delicious. I especially liked the scrambled eggs, cheeses, yogurts, breads, homemade hams. OK, so I liked everything.

  Wonderful atmosphere, delicious food

  This is the most welcome I've ever felt at a hotel. The owners are incredibly warm and welcoming. There is always complementary coffee, tea, water, fruits, nuts and snacks available, and beverages are trust-based self served. The location is quiet, the beds are soft, the dinner delicious and the breakfast divine. We cycled here from Hirtshals and will definitely return next time we're in Nordjylland.

  Unbelievable Diamond along the West Denmark Coast

  Who would of thought that this beautiful hotel / conference center would nestle among the windy grassy dunes along the North Sea . The place is picture perfect. Surrounded by nature and picturesque beauty . Our reception was exceptional- friendly, helpful and welcoming. English is spoken by virtually everyone for those of us that are Danish challenged . Our room , #22 , was very clean with three windows all looking out onto the green lovely landscape . Great secure bike garage - they rent bikes here . The crowning glory was the dinner and breakfast at the hotel . The dinner was absolutely fantastic - fixed price and amazing . The homemade soup , a Curry Chicken fantasy was the best soup that I have ever experienced in my life . The beef for our main course was tender and very well seasoned . Homemade dessert with rhubarb, berries and a meringue which was delicious. The owner who is also the chef , Niels Oleson is a delight as well as a culinary wizard. Breakfast , included in the room cost, was also great . Homemade jams and marmalades . Great eggs and bacon and everything else you can imagine for breakfast . We will definitely stay here again if we are passing through and we can get a reservation. If not stay here at least come for dinner .
