    Good hotel with basic facilities!

    We had actually booked another hotel in Naples near Naples Central Railway station, but that hotel had a leakage problem, and the hotel moved us to this hotel. This is a no frills hotel, basically if you want to stay for a night or so. There is nothing much around this hotel. The rooms are basic, but clean and self sufficient. This hotel has no lift, and we had to carry our bags till the 3rd floor which was an exercise. The front desk speaks only Italian. So you if you do not speak italian, you need to be good at sign language. Breakfast is ample, and they even arranged early breakfast for us (at 6.30 am), since we had to checkout at 7. Really appreciate their sweet gesture. We were charged around 20 Euros for the ride to drop to airport, which I think is okay.

    EXCELLENT VALUE FOR MONEY

    We chose Hotel Martini for its close proximity to the Airport, and the road network to the areas we were hoping to explore, and it had it's own dedicated covered car park. We arrived late evening and the receptionist opened the secured car park and after we had parked the car he allocated us our room ( 306 see photos and view from window) as stated by other travellers there is no lift and our room was on the third floor. The night receptionist speaks Italian and French but understands a little English, enough for us to get a drink from the bar,( bottled beers and wine.) The room was perfectly adequate with a huge double bed, wall mounted tv, dressing table, Shower room with complimentary toiletries, toilet and bidet. The room was cleaned every day,with clean towels and toiletries replenished. The daytime receptionist Suzy speaks good English and was most helpful. Breakfast was the usual continental offering, lots of pastries, sliced meats, Croissants, and very good coffee, you won't go hungry but you won't get bacon and eggs. The Hotel is a half hour bus ride from central Naples, Busses T31, T32 & T33 all pass the Hotel and will take you to Piazza Garibaldi from where you can get trains to Herculaneum, Pompeii and on to Sorrento.

    Great find!

    It was definitely worth a night stay for us. The room was clean and spacious, as portrayed on the picture seem on trip advisor. The hotel has free parking under the hotel; which made it convenient and safe for us. We had a long day and was pleased to be greeted by a jovial man at the reception. There is an elevator (we spent the whole day walking so we were relieved not to climb the stairs!) Hair dryer and Wifi are included in room. There are a few pizza shops around the hotel. The airport is about 10 drive away. This is probably the best hotel we stayed in as compared to other hotels of similar cost.

    Last night stay before flight home

    If like us you are looking for a hotel before you flight home, avoid here as you will not get any sleep! The walls are like cardboard! No sound proofing whatsoever. Very bates motel like feel to the hotel and rooms. The hallway leading to the rooms stunk of old stale cigarettes. Didnt waste my time with taking pictures of this place as I didnt want to be reminded of where we stayed! Only positive was that we werent charged to park the hire car. Didnt get to find out what breakfast was like as our flight was too early. If youre not there for breakfast I think a discount should be available in the booking price.

    Airport Hotel

    So we needed an airport hotel as our daughter had a 6:00AM flight and we wanted to stay near the airport. We arrived just after dark. We got a basic clean room, good shower, gated parking and a very basic breakfast. Unfortunately it was cold so the room heater grinder all night. We wanted to walk to a place to eat as the roads in the surrounding area were awful and I didnt want to drive. We were directed to a pizzeria which was a ten minute walk. The walk was scary as it was dark and sidewalks narrow. The place was not inviting at all so we ended up driving around and found a reasonable place. If you are looking for a clean room near the airport this is okay but eat before you get there.
