  In neglect

  Entrance is right by a stinking recycling station. No one present at reception. Internet randomly turns off. Bathroom faucet makes the water spray on you when hitting the sink. Cant flip the window shades downwards by the bed to keep light out in the morning. Asked Christophe in the reception, who said hed take a look and try to fix it. Dont think he even came to our room and did not leave a note whether he did. No instructions for how to turn on the digital do not disturb outside the door. Think its broken. Bed light once turned on by itself. Broken trash bin in the room. Spiderweb in the bathroom. Very dirty toilet brush. Elevator stinks. Thin room door so you hear everything from the corridor e.g. the cleaning crew at 9am. Our keycards did not work for the stairs, which is a safety hazard. You can ask the reception to activate it said the cleaning lady. Hotel Pilar was probably fantastic in its first years of operating. But its clearly in neglect today. Apart from the window shades request, all other staff was helpful.

  Amazing views inside and out!

  The renovations on this Hotel are impressive! You can easily see that the owner is an interior architect with good taste! I love how each room has a different design of the bathroom and how the spa feeling is represented by placing the tub central in the room. So many details and playfulness with the light coming in from the windows. The restaurant is a huge upgrade from what is was before. You can feel the love of the owners for hospitality in every single detail! Fun and tasty food and great atmosphere!

  Breakfast

  Very nice and cosy setting, the service was quick and good. The breakfast on the other hand was absolutely delicious, the french toast and sunrise breakfast are highly recommended. Fantastic hidden spot in Antwerp South!

  More than a 3 Stars hotel

  I have been in this place for a weekend and I found the hotel very charming and cosy. Rooms are clean and the staff is very very kind and polite. Kimberly and Melany Thank u to the staff of the restaurant and reception. THEY ARE ALL VERY NICE. Thank you for your service, I felt your smile under the masks.

  Bar Pilar... a little Ibiza

  at least when there is nice weather. The hotel bar/restaurant has a lovely terrace surrounded by plants and trees. Friendly, helpful and very attentive service. Great food though portions are relatively small and the choice is limited; anyhow very good quality. Good wines too.
