  Absolutely terrible

  By far the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. It is very old and dirty. We arrived there and we found out that they haven't even reserved our rooms. Luckily there were some rooms empty and "clean" and we stayed there. The breakfast buffet was ok. But the evening buffet was terrible! If you stay there be sure to always carry your room key with you because at night the lock the entrance door and there is a possibility be locked out and spend the night in the woods..

  Nice, mostly quiet hotel

  I stayed here for one week in May to participate in the music competition in nearby Markneukirchen. The hotel was older, but clean. I ate every meal there, the food was good, and the price was decent. Don't bother with lunch, though. The rooms were small and the beds a little stiff. Typical European hotel room though, so I wasn't too upset with it not being super roomy and cushy like rooms in the US. Nothing around the hotel to do except hike the miles and miles of cross country trails which we did every day. Definitely a highlight of the trip! My biggest complaints were that the wifi is only in the common areas and not reliable and that during the competition, musicians are practicing in their rooms from 8:00-20:00 every day. Charming but gets old very quickly!! The highlight was definitely the hiking. Great hotel to escape the city. If you want to see the countryside, or even eat at a restaurant, bring a car.
