  Strategic location, clean and chic design

  The hotel is located besides Zara at Kunming Nanping Street. It takes about 15 minutes to reach Pedestrian Street where no vehicles are allowed to enter and there is a Carrefour. The hotel is clean and I love its design. The only setback is that the toilet is separated from the shower area and the window glass is frosted type so you may not have privacy if you are staying with friends. The toilet seat is auto-heated during this winter time and it has the auto-bidet. The two super single beds fit for 2 adults and 2 children. Overall, 5 stars for Ibis Styles Nanping, Kunming.

  Top-notch customer service

  I highly recommend this hotel: - front desk was friendly and welcoming (a rarity in mainland China) - the location is in city centre with many shops and restaurants in the surrounding area - easy walking distance to metro station - excellent value for money

  Staff Tried Hard to Sell Breakfast

  The hotel itself is nice. The room is comfy with a modern style. The location of the hotel is also good. The only one PROBLEM was the receptionist. We were tired from our long haul flight, arrived at the front desk, and instead of checking us in as swiftly as possible, the receptionist kept trying to convince us to buy their breakfast/membership package!!! This was so annoying! I declined 3 times and she still went at it, even taking out her calculator to show how cheap it was. In the end, checking in took about 35-40 min. Therefore Im giving 3 stars. Dont torture your tired guests just so you can try to sell breakfast.

  Great Modern Room Close to the City Center

  This was a great hotel in downtown Kunming. Although, they don't really speak English, they helped me arrange a tour of the Stone Forest (which is worth the trip). The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was great, and it's located very near two Starbucks. I would return here again.

  Good location near to metro

  This business hotel is conveniently located next to eagle summit building and within 300m of Dongfeng square station, an interchange metro that links 2 Lines. The lobby is attended by helpful concierge officers. They do allow baggage deposit for free. Room is spacious, facilities fairly new. However the breakfast was mediocre~
