  Dirty and loud.

  Checked in late tonight; room was dirty and in light of COVID, absolutely unacceptable. Asked to switch rooms bc of lack of cleanliness and highway noise, and were told hotel was completely booked, even though I can go on the app and book a room now. We can deal with the highway noise, but wiping down and cleaning my hotel room after a seven hour drive is absolutely unacceptable for a hotel chain that claims to have safety in mind during the pandemic.

  This hotel is fairly new. It was very clean and quiet and generally met our needs for a long weekend. I only gave three stars for the following reasons: Check in was prompt and efficient however the individual who checked us in neglected to mention that there would be no housekeeping service. We were leaving the room after our first night stay and met the housekeeping right outside our door. Told them we were leaving for the day and they promptly replied: there is no housekeeping service due to Covid 19 restrictions. Both individuals, btw, were not wearing mask (we had ours on). Upon inquiry downstairs, I was told we could secure fresh towels if we asked and they would leave them in our room, No pickup on the soiled towels which piled up in our bathroom until we left 4 days later. And, I had to make the bed up because I cannot stand getting into an unmade bed. I understand today's travel environment, but a little communication goes a long way. as long as I know what I am facing I am ok. We do not live in PA so do not know the states protocol regarding housekeeping etc. The Grill/Bar was closed as well, even though we ate out at a different restaurant every night of our stay. Bars are closed in PA, not restaurants who just happen to have a bar. Beware that parking in a private lot next to the hotel is $20 a day. It's l$15 a day with a $5 parking tax (that's so PA). No other place to park so they have you captured.

  Hoping for More

  The hotel lobby has a unique industrial but empty feeling. The rooms are nicely laid out, spacious and clean. Unfortunately the convenience of being near the highway is also its downfall. Our room on the highway side was ridiculously noisy all night long...make sure you request a riverside room. Keep in mind that the restaurant/bar is current closed and there are NO eating options adjacent to the hotel (the Southside across the Hot Metal Bridge is a short 15-20 min walk with lots of food options). I would love to give this hotel more dots but the above issues (plus lack of housekeeping) keeps it at average.

  Stayed here because of the proximity to Pitt campus for move in day. The hotel has a fun design. Marvin was great and patient w/a late night check in. The downfall to this hotel is the highway! I hardly slept both nights because of the noise from semis, motorcycles, people doing burnouts. No fault of the hotel but it wasnt a restful nights sleep either night, & the bathroom could use a better cleaning. Restaurant currently closed for the more obvi reasons, quick snack and drinks to go are available. Beds are comfortable, shower and room size was nice.

  Great design and Great Service

  I stayed here while visiting the University of Pittsburgh. Very nice hotel that pulled the industrial history of Pittsburgh and the site with a modern yet stylish feel. Front Desk was very nice providing us with dining options. If you are a runner, there is a great bike/running trail directly behind the hotel which will allow you to run without interruption for more than 10 miles. Bring your shoes!
