  Wonderful Romantic Setting

  If you love golf, the setting for this hotel is spectacular. Even if you do not love golf the setting for this hotel is stunning. The grounds give you a sense of being in Old Sweden. The restaurant is great. The breakfast is perhaps the best in all of Sweden. The only minor negative was that the room as a little small; but super clean.

  Seen better but also worse...

  Great place to have conferences and a very nice barn next to it where they had some great events to compete in. That was very fun, great surroundings as well. But be warned of the chimney to the bath on the outside, 4 persons burned themselves as there are no protection from the hot chimney. VERY dangerous....

  Old Sweden

  Beautiful hotel with it's own golf course. Went for a wedding and reception, good attentive staff. Food was good quality as well. No air conditioning in the rooms so for those that need it be aware and plan accordingly. Was not able to golf but based on the number of people out on the course must be of good quality.

  Fantastic overnight stay

  My family and I had a wonderful overnight stay at Knistad Herrgard on Saturday 18th July. To begin with, all the staff we encountered were extremely helpful and friendly, in particular the receptionist who couldnt do enough for us during our stay, as well as the waiting staff in the restaurant who took great care of us during our evening meal. The food at breakfast was excellent with a very generous consisting of fresh quality products, including the kiwi jam, a new one for us. We also took dinner in the restaurant and the food was very good; the waiting staff were very courteous, and even brought my one year olds dinner out just minutes after we had ordered which was very much appreciated. The room we stayed in was immaculately clean and was also very quiet. My only slight criticism would be that the bed was slightly too soft for my liking, but that is down to a personal preference for harder beds. Would highly recommend Knistad Herrgard to golfers, couples, and for people travelling though the area as we were. Will be making a return for sure.

  Visit from United States with Colleagues

  I was privileged to stay at Knistad on a business trip with colleagues from Sweden and US. This was a most beautiful place to stay, the quaintness and uniqueness of this beautiful place was a once in a lifetime stay. We had a great meal in the restaurant and then enjoyed a beautiful evening sitting outside by the golf course enjoying the beautiful countryside of Sweden. I am grateful for this experience and hope to come back some day soon.
