  Good Service at Lao Golden Hotel

  Good Services, Excellent Staffs, easy to find something to eat, near restaurant, near grocery store, near local temple, a bit difficult to find transportation to go to anywhere but in front of hotel have motor-tricycle that you can ask them to take you to the place that you want and you have to bargain about the price

  A value for money Hotel in a good location

  I enjoyed my stay at the Laos Golden Hotel, the staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms large, clean and comfortable, the breakfast buffet was very good (apart from the coffee) but get in early. The location is good although not central to shopping and night spots, there is a very good cafe/restaurant across the road and a nice little cafe that serves great coffee just along the street, for when you get sick of the hotel coffee.

  A little secret

  Great value for business travelers. The morning breakfast is generous. I live in this hotel for two very productive week. If you like to work and do business in Vientiane, this is the little secret place. I particularly liked the attention central location, large dining area, and the most helpful and courteous staff, specially Vassim, the resident manager. Some facilities for People with Disability can be improved. However, all the staff took care and helped me as a wheelchair-bound digital nomad. Highly recommended. Keep it up, Lao Golden Hotel!

  Good value.

  On visa run. Great value for our situation. Clean, simple room. Staff was helpful and responsive. Bfast was lao had ample tasty choices. Only thing we didnt understand is why the website said there was a pool, but no pool. (If you have kids, Pool would be nice for all the downtime waiting for visa processing) otherwise we recommend this place.

  Adequate hotel

  Its quite an acceptable hotel. About 20 minute drive from the international airport. Pros: - Price is reasonable - 10 minutes walk to the embassy (great for visa runs) - I had to photocopy some documents and they did it for me at the lobby for free - Convenient stores and restaurants were accessible - Staff were good. They werent rude and when I tried to pay for an extra half day they tried their best to stay patient with me even though I was struggling to communicate with them due to currency exchange rates & language barriers - The rooms were decent. It seemed old but still good - Breakfast buffet was good. Had a selection of asian foods, Korean side dishes, tea, coffee, cereal, etc. Cons: - Housekeeping just comes in the room without even knocking.. which is invasion of privacy (and was really annoying). We tried to tell them to come back some other time but they didnt get it. Neither was there any signage to put in our front door to tell housekeeping that we want to makeup our room or do not disturb. - Toilet wasnt entirely dry when I first checked in. It was wet like someone just finished cleaning - Upon entering the room it was pretty clear they just didnt bother to clean everything. You could see some dirt in the minibar and some webs on top walls. I do have some suggestion to improve the service. At least put the list of mini bar prices. I didnt know until check-out. I didnt even know what number to call the room service until I randomly dialed 0 and magically went to the reception. Btw room service number is 202 and either no one picks up or when they do, they dont understand english. Not recommended for leisure. Just a decent hotel for visa runs.
