  Elegimos este hotel por ser el único en Sainte Mere Eglise y queríamos tener esta población como centro de nuestras excursiones en Normandía. Previamente habíamos estado en Bretaña en hoteles mejores por el mismo o menor precio. Este hotel tiene las habitacones pequeñas, mobiliario viejo, armario enano sin puertas. El baño tampoco es último modelo. El papel higiénico es de esos industriales y no previeron que se nos podía acabar. No es como cuando te dejan uno o dos de repuesto de los pequeños. Lo peor de todo son los ruidos. Para cerrar bien la puerta hay que dar portazo y, como había un autobús de ingleses en el hotel que madrugaron más que nosotros, a partir de las 7h fue un portazo tras otro. Estuvimos todo el día con dolor de cabeza de no haber descansado bien. Sólo lo aconsejaría por ser el único en esta población.

  Instalaciones correctas con gran trato

  El sitio es bastante normalito, las habitaciones correctas, el desayuno bastante estandar pero el trato con la gente es inmejorable. Las habitaciones siempre muy limpias. Se podría mejorar el jabón proporcionado en el lavabo. Para cenar el plato de mejillones está espectacular así como la simpatía de las camareras.

  Good place to stop for lunch on way back to Cherbourg as it is about 30 minutes from docks

  Good starter buffet or perhaps main course. Great way above average choice. Scallops as. A main course. With tagliatelle were delicious service fine . The hotel is just off the main Caen to Cherbourg dual carriageway

  Great Option For Exploring WWII Sites

  Location, location, location! If you are a WWII buff you have seen this town depicted in a few different movies. It was an important place for the American paratroop landings. We stayed here for three days in June 2019 right after the D-Day 75th anniversary celebration. This was an ideal base for exploring the many nearby WWII sites by car including both American beaches (Omaha and Utah). It is located right on the expressway about halfway between each American beach so its pretty easy to get around the area by car. The hotel is also within easy walking distance to the town of St. Mere Eglise itself. The hotel is not fancy. It's a clean, well maintained place to sleep and maybe have a meal or two. If your goal is to be pampered or to have a romantic get away this is not your best choice. If your goal is to have a safe, clean, inexpensive place to stay go here.

  Best place in Sainte Mere Eglise to stay - perfect location

  I have stayed here for the last 7 years during the first week of June (always nice to celebrate my birthday in normandy 6th ) It is one of the very few places to stay in or near the town so does sell out very fast. I have always found the managment & staff incredibly helpful and attentive , always a nice smile or wave , and this before they got to know me ! now we are almost on first name terms ;) The hotel i have always found clean & tidy & have never really had to ask for something , but if i did i would say it would be delt with almost right away . I have stayed in a few different rooms in the Hotel but my room of choice is always one facing town , and when possible upper floor ., you get fantastic views of the USAF C130's that constantly fly around the area VERY low ! Anyway ... the rooms ... always found the room clean with no issues , its reasonably modern as hotels in the area go , not a very old building at all.. The beds are very comfy , i suffer from a bad back and never had a problem with these beds . Always a good nights sleep , well that and the local booze & beer helps . If i had one citisism it would be the lack of English TV chanels .. BUT we are not there to watch TV are we ? So much to see around the area. I drive from the UK and arrive at Cherbourg via the car ferry & the Town is a 35mins drive or so from the port , so perfect for me , never any issues with parking as the car park has plenty of spaces. Attached to the restaurant is a small bar offering a good choice of spirits & beers , so you can either have a drink before heading the 6mins or so walk into town or have one on your return from Town. The restaurant itself is also where youd get the breakfast in the morning which is a buffet / continetal style , i prefer it to be honest as you help yourself to whatever you want , fresh bread / croissants , various meats , cereals ( i read a review stating there wasnt any , not sure where he was... ALWAYS has had ) yoghurts etc etc etc .. i forget exaclty but there is a very good choice for everyone ! Ohh... yes .. toast and boil your own eggs !! Fresh juices , tea & coffee etc . Certainly enough to kep you going for the next few hours. The restaurant for the evening meal i always order the same thing pretty much , Beef or Steak which is local with a choice of sauce , i go for peppercorn and the fries are absolutley perfect ! there is also a cold seafood buffet available usually & a few other specials on the board ., all in all a good local choice or selection . Great place , always my choice due to the location and the staff do make you welcome. Hopfully will be there again this coming June
