    Very Nice

We arrived at the reception early - to pass the time we had a walk to the "beach" advertised only 50m away - quite disapointed with the beach which consisted of sand, rocks, then sea. No swimming possible i would think. Once reception was open we checked in very quickly and found apartment with no problems. Very impressed with apartment and terrace. Everything we could want. Bedrooms upstairs on mezzaine deck - stairs VERY creeky - noisy enough when going up or down for next door to hear!!! Car park just outside apartment which was very handy. Secure coded gate at entrance. Nearest restaurant and bar in caravan park next to apartments- very good.

    Tourist Trap - Stay Away!

We booked a two night stay at this residence via booking.com. Cancelation is not possible, your credit card is immediately debited forthe full amoutn: 344 euro for a supposedly double room. Upon arrival we discovered the pictures on the website do not reflect by any means what you find: an old sparsely furnished apartment, with a squeecky table and chairs. The bed turns out to be a sofa which is not convertible into a double bed. One person sleeps on the sofa, the other on a sort of camping bed which is lodged under the sofa. The bed is not made upon arrival, some cheap sheets are available. If you want towels you can rent these at 7 euro a person extra charge. The beach which is supposedly close by, can only be reached by car. If you walk to the beach which is close you find rocks and mussels. The residence is completely surrounded by camping sites. No service is available at the residence. The reception which is the only place where you can use WIFI is hardly ever open. We did not want to stay at this place and booked a nice hotel nearby. The residence however refuses to reimburse the charges they made upon reservation. This company is only there to gain the quick buck, stay away unless you want to be deceived.

    Early Relaxing Break

We booked this through Brittany Ferries as an early break. As a retired couple with some movement disabilities we were a bit apprehensive about the steep stairs to the bedroom, but with care we managed very well. The small accommodation complex is nearly at the end of a single track road which sat nav found without difficulty, after waiting for reception to open we joined the short queue to book in. The receptionist spoke little or no English but was able with an English copy of the site rules & info to direct us to our residence. No deposit or money was demanded at this point and using my limited French was able to explain we needed to hire bedlinen and towels which were produced instantly, we declined the TV at 42 but opted for the end of stay cleaning at 59 as my wife is slightly hampered in movement. The house is compact with downstairs a kitchen (hob, microwave, fridge, coffee machine(no kettle) pans etc & dishwasher) and bathroom with shower over the bath, and a sofa bed. Upstairs a small double and a twin bunkbed. Storage is limited but was adequate for us. I had to clean the spinner outlets on the dishwasher as it did not clean the dishes. The light over the hob did not work but was instantly replaced at reception the following morning. The bed linen and towels were clean and new, the curtains were tired and in need of a refurb, every thing worked and the bathroom had been recently refurbed. The apartment blocks are widely dispersed across the tree dotted site and very peaceful when we were there, plenty of outdoor chairs and a table . The couple who run the site are very friendly despite the language difficulty were very helpful. All the locals we met were very friendly especially the moule & frits van on the Wednesday evening.

    Could've been better

The site is easy to find and the language barrier is not a problem when if you can re member school day french and your husband decides to use google translate, you have to give credit card details or pay a deposit of 260 Euros, this is not only for any breakages, but excess use of electricity, so the use of the air conditioning is out of the question. There were a couple cool nights but as we had to leave the window open most nights, but you take the chance of mosquitoes flying in and feasting. We are a couple over 50, and finding that the sleeping arrangements are a single cabin style bed with extra pull out was not a problem, or so i thought until the next morning when my back paid the price. Started using the Futon instead, very comfortable. I did wonder about clients that were not as agile, don't think it would suit them. Another expense you are asked if you wish to pay for is a cleaning service, 59 Euros, which we declined as we decided that washing dishes and floors are not a hardship. Although there is a dishwasher. No kettle, just a coffee percolator, two ring hob, Fridge and microwave. The property is kept clean and tidy, the pool is wonderful and never had to fight for a sunbed. the distance to the beach which is very rocky, is further than advertised and quite a trek roughly 600 metres away there is a better beach but this is about a 5 min drive away. There is no shop on site and the nearest is a 15 - 20 minute walk away. There is WiFi but only in or near the reception, 3G or 4G is intermittent. No Signal in the room though. The last expense you have to pay is the local tourist tax which cost us 25 Euros for 14 nights Nice place, but unfortunately will not be returning.
